Don Geronimo retiring

Don Geronimo announced his retirement from The Don & Mike Show. Thought it was interesting to note considering his past relationship with this site.

Haven't listened to WJFK since I got the Sirius radio installed. Maybe Geronimo/Sorce will go there. Liked him, but Sirius is always my first choice. He'd be good unsensored.

One of many threads involving ResTon Peace and Don Geronimo.

Don's wife was killed when a car swerved out of its lane and plowed head on into her car.

ResTon Peace, hours after her death, posted past traffic tickets she had received and laughed about her death.

RESton Peace did no such thing. Some guy named rstidman gets the blame for that shit.

Wrong: I stand corrected. Couldn't be the same guy, no resemblance, whatsoever.

But, which, do you think, is the lower life form?

Gravis, brush your teeth and go to bed. Put on your warm jammies, a cold front's coming through.

I used to love listening to that show but for the past two years or so they have become very boring. I would love to see what janet and Carla look like. I wish Mike would get off the sauce.

As boring as the show is now, I can't image how boring it will be without Geronimo. Mike O'Meara is okay with sidekick color but hosting the show? Not sure on that one.

They did a show without DOn on Friday before he annoucned his retirement on Monday. Other then taking a few more calls then usual I think it was a normal show then any other...you could adjust to it. They still have Rob and Buzz..

Freda used to say that people listened to the show because they did't like them, which is a interesting premise for a show. It passed the time when you were stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. I would take my hat off to them and say that they were in the rare catagory of being live wire radio. The Greaseman, whom they didn'like in addition to being one time rivals also retired this year. I think the Greaseman was also a live wire. I would put them in the catagory with Jean Shepard and years and years ago Jack Alason. They could just talk and you'd listen.

Ah the Grease! Now there's a funny dj. Morning radio hasn't been the same without him.

We'll never miss Geronihomo.

BEST POST IN THAT THREAD BY ROBERT STIDMAN......

"Sero=iously now, I could care less what any of these assholes thinks. They don't give a shit about this board and won't be posting here as soon as they stop pretending to be so sensitive and caring over a person they don't know.

Fuck all of you fair-weather friends, I saw all your posts on the net over the years as to how you wish she was dead and gone.

Idiotpatrol, go fuck yourself. You sound like a kid toucher to me."

If you read through that thread you can that all those people actually sounded nice...not like the shitty sarcastic remarks that Gravis spews and all the little kids that try to emulate him with far worse jokes.

Yes, those people sounded really nice when they threatened my life despite zero involvement in that thread (at the time I hadn't ever even posted to FU). Fuck Don Geronimo and his fans.

There was a 25% chance of being right. A 50% chance that rstidman was dating anyone, and a 50% chance that person was female.

I am tired of Don Geronimo's tired tirades. He's been so bitter in recent years that he isn't really funny. As for Mike O'Meara, he has really been phoning in the impressions over the past year or so. He used to do dead-on impressions of Bush, Bob Barker, Regis Philbin, etc. Now he just sounds like Mike O'Meara with a southern accent or like Dr. Smith or like he has a sinus headache (respectively). If O'Meara gets his own show, I hope he makes more of an effort.

rstidman was quite open about his identity. My name was tied to his in public records (the title to our condo).

Can't imagine you can just give it all up.

Sounds like you guys really enjoy just sitting around and shooting the perverbial S for a few hours everyday.

GOOD! That guy sucked anyhow, along with his BS show. PLAY SOME DAMN MUSIC and STF UP!
Back in 1988, I use to go to NA meetings and he attended the same. His disgusting, bloated, fat, acne pocked ass use to hit on the nastiest prostititue I ever seen, and try to act like some important celebrity. Hed start every time he talked by saying he was as radio personality, like anyone cared.
All talk radio sucks, its just a bunch of opionionated fools talking to a fishbowl. Like that blowhard, Rush. He is preaching to the same 200 people day in and day out. Everyone else know a bias point of view is bias. Its like a shopping cart that ALLWAYS pulls to the right no matter hat way you push it.
