How about the same 3 days of songs should start on Dec 1, otherwise the whole experience is cheapened?

Most any song except that John Lennon Happy Christmas song.

"...your suffering will be legendary even in Hell!"

Anything other than that "Christmastime in Washington" song. That woman CANNOT sing! If I have to listen to her..."And Mr. Jefferson stands the watch..." with her thin, warblely vibrato, I am going to hang myself.

Way TOO EARLY to play Christmas music! How about waiting until december 15th? WASH FM plays the same track over and over and over again.

Can't stand "Christmas Eve in Washington" makes me want to puke!

If I hear "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" more than once a day, I just may run over Grandma in a fit of road rage!

Sex Change Band I believe

Anything other than John Lennon's "Happy Christmas" and that stupid "Grandma Got Run Over" nonsense. That song was funny maybe one time when you were 9, but now just painful.

WASH FM Santa Web's been playing christmas music since October (I got a bit of a head start). I like that better, because there's no talking, no commercials, and a bit more variety, though I don't know if that will be available after today? I haven't checked yet.

And though I truly can't stand "Christmas Shoes", "Dominick the Donkey", "Christmas Eve in Washington" and absolutely ANYTHING by Taylor Swift, I do listen to this station all through the season.

Without being as rude as other posters, it would be nice if WASH.FM had a bigger selection to choose from, they do tend to play the same 30 songs over and over again every year. There are a TON of classics to choose from.....

The xmas music is better than the loop of garbage music the station usually plays.

For those who want to sing along, here are the lyrics:

It's snowing tonight in the Blue Ridge
There's a hush on the Ches'peake Bay
The chimneys are smoking in Georgetown
And tomorrow is Christmas Day

The Tidal Basin lies quiet
The tourists have found their way home
Mr. Jefferson's standing the mid-watch
And there's a star on the Capitol Dome

It's Christmas Eve in Washington
America's hometown
For it's here that freedom lives
And peace can stand her ground

It's Christmas Eve in Washington
Our joyous wish to you
Is for peace, love and laughter
to last the whole year through

Snowmen peeking through the windows
It's warm with love inside
'Round the tree the children gather
Awaiting Santa's midnight ride

Mom and Dad are counting their blessings
Reflecting on all they've done
So thankful for another
Christmas Eve in Washington

BTW, the co-author and artist "Maura Sullivan" decided to go out on top - she no longer performs and has moved on to selling real estate for Long and Foster in NOVA.

Not to be a bum hum bug type of man, but none. Music, ie. pop and other shit are better. Its fine Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, etc, but its simply too early.

Re: Maura Sullivan/Christmas Eve In Washington, a couple of years ago, she got pretty shirty on dcrtv when someone dared suggest that her song sucked eggs -- I believe her position was that since the proceeds go for a good cause (the troops, I think), nobody should criticize.

Memo to Maura: the song sucks. It's nice that you're using the proceeds for charity, but the song songs.

Agreed. The song sucking and the proceeds going to charity are two completely different conversations.

If I'm giving Cleveland steamers for charity you have the right to say, "Wow! That's filthy!" and at the same time, "But it's nice you're giving to charity."

Of course, I might could make the argument that if the song was better that might create more interest (i.e. more people would buy it) and therefore more money is generated for charity. But hey, Maura...you go ahead and keep getting shitty anytime someone says your song sucks...

Id disagree with you guys and say The Chipmunks' Christmas Song is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse than Christmas Eve in Washington. I have to cover my ears when I hear the shrilly high pitched Chipmunks voices.
