i think this is a bit old... but perhaps this is just a follow up on the outcome. anyway, the hilarious part was that the company that made the device wanted to give the defendant the source code but the court intervened. i know exactly why they did it too: they dont know jack shit about the topic. when it comes to technology, judges seem to be far far out of touch.

There have been two of them now, one in FL and the other in KY

Doesn't do you any good if they did a blood test. And as someone in the forums pointed out, source code for radar/lidar/laser guns might be a good thing to ask for in a speeding ticket case ;-)
