You don't have a clue. They don't have that much height, or anything else for that matter. Most important position in HS basketball is guard, and poor Oakton has none worth a damn.

I say Stuart surprises everyone this year and steals the district. With a new coach in PJ Kelly from Fairfax. Although they have their leading scorer and staring point guard out for the first part of the season, they have a team their that will play hard on defense and get out on alot of fastbreaks.

That would be the upset of the century. I agree that PJ will have them playing hard, but they don't have nearly enough talent to stay in the same gym with Edison or Yorktown. I also think Wakefield will be vastly improved over last year and they'll surprise some people.

W-L has a lot of returning talent this year and should be really strong. Expect them to go further than the Northern Region 1st Round. And like last year should be competitive with Yorktown and Wake. It will take longer than one year for Stuart to build a solid team. It took W-L about 4 years to build to where they are.

Don't count out Chantilly they're coaching staff always has their boys playing at the top of their game. If the players can find a way to overcome the fact that they all have vaginas they'll be pretty solid this year.

Happy Thanksgiving! Things may have changed in the past 2-3 years, but my understanding is that Bishop Ireton has always had a policy of not recruiting athletes - one reason why they tend to bring up the rear in WCAC basketball and compete outside of the conference as an independent in football.

you shouldn't leave south county out of the patriot district/northern region picture, yes they lost their height to private schools but, five returning seniors and an athletic group of juniors and three outstanding sophomores. NOISE will be made from this very speedy team.

Things are beginning to change at Bishop Ireton. 6 transfers in this year 3 of them are starting. 5 new sophmores all expected to get a lot of time and a great class of 2016 coming in. Expect them to surprize a lot of people in the WCAC this year

Really, Stuart stealing the district..Kelly hasnt won anything anywhere..let alone the national district...the last coach at stuart took them to the district championship game and a close loss to t.c. In the quarters of regionals just three years ago, pulled off the upset win against woodson in the reginals two years ago. Kelly left falls church, the same coach coached took that job and one their first ever district championship....so playing hard is certainly what the last Stuart coach had his players doing....and kelly bombed at fairfax...so know the game and stop race hating....so let's build a resume before you start getting credit for winning something that you havent come close to winning in well over 15 years...

Lets not jump to conclusions that they will be terrible just because they have no one coming back.
