Local Boy Does Well

Did anyone else catch this in the Post earlier in the week? Lucas Caparelli was a standout athlete at Robinson who apparently didn't care much for Wake Forest or his schoolmates.

Hah. When I was in school I used to say crap like that all the time and nobody gave a shit. My, how times have changed. It's just not America anymore when you can't threaten to riddle your compatriots with bulletholes and not be punished. :(

Does anyone see irony in his comments about being surrounded by spoiled rich kids at Wake, but he didn't seem to have any problems with them at Robinson. My take is that it was a lot more fun at Robinson when you were at the top of the food chain and you had a loyal following of enablers, starting with the principal Dan Meier, telling you how great you are. It must be a lot tougher when you are back at the bottom looking up.

Welcome to the real world, Lucas. Since it seems unlikely that college is in your near future, you might want to start looking for a job. I hear that Panera in Fairfax City is hiring.
