I hope Michael is as good as new after his recent angioplasty. He had a heart attack yesterday. Best wishes and I am praying for his good health.

Wow, I didn't hear about this.

Wilbon is one great sportswriter.

He had a heart attack when he heard Dan Snyder hired assistant coaches before the head coach. Now that us Redskin fans are the laughing stock on ESPN, more reporters are in danger of laughing to death.

I like Michael and hope he gets better. He's one of the few sports writers I like.

If they got the balloon in quickly (and I suspect they did), then muscle damage was minimized. It's pretty amazing how fast they can snake the cath. up your femoral artery and blow open a blockage. He was lucky to be in a metropolitan area where he could get quick help.

He was on Triple X with Riggins. He claimed proudly that he lost 32 lbs. recently - was getting in better shape.

Problem was, when he presented in the ER, he was not only infarcted, but severely diabetic. He's on insulin, so he blew his pancreas out as well (which explains the weight loss.)

He said he had high BP as well.

I sorta gathered he hadn't seen a GP in quite some time. If you know someone who is overweight and frequently urinating, get them to a doc soon.

Tough road for him.
