I'm a dickhead. Yup, a surburbanite prick, who thought he'd seen it all, in various parts of this country. Yet, when it comes to Fairfax County, all drivers suck, but surivived "DWA" vehicles around here is like a freaking game of Frogger. What the hell is up with this shit? Everyday, several times, there are DWA "encounters" where defensive driving tactics of varying diffiulty are employed. Any thoughts on this, yes I know I'm a prick, but are a lot of asian drivers new to this country, so they are inexperienced with mileage, or is this how folks drive in countries in the East? Just curious, because if this was an Olympic Sport, todays medal would be Gold. Geez.

Go to Youtube and search for, say, "Vietnam traffic" - there have been numerous posts around here as well noting the very high quality of the recently-here Asian drivers.

It couldnt be as bad as my co worker. He is in his 60s and he always wants to drive when we go to lunch. He cuts people off, he pulls out in front of oncoming traffic and he cannot see at night. He has just missed taking out pedestrians many times. Luckily they jump out of the way

The last time we went on a business trip he took his GPS. When it said to turn left he turned regardless of oncoming traffic.

That's another issue as well, older drivers. Fairfax County is aging in many regards, and yes I've been hit by a couple of older folks, one who's license was taken away, as it was their I forgot how many at fault accident in a short period of time. However, DWA is a scary phenomena, and one to be very cautious around here. Defensive driving at all times seriously ha ha

I had a flight from Taipei to Kaohsiung once that was...interesting. The pilot, nearing Kaohsiung, decided he needed to be lower (or air traffic control told him to descend).

So he descended.

FAST. Pretty much the entire cabin, including flight attendents, went "Gasp!".

I think he recently became an airline pilot.

Flying while asian, at least hopefully that does not happen 2 much over FFX. Although those airlines have competition, there have been some asian drivers who have gone airborne here

Speaking of DWA, and based on the last post, why is it hispanics are always crossing streets when the big fucking hand says "Don't Fucking Walk." The amount of hispanics killed or injured in pedestrian wrecks is shocking, feel free to deny this if you'd like. my buddy works for the Fire Department, they call Rt 50 around Lohmanns and Seven Corners the bowling alley for all the hispanics getting knocked over like pins

Hilarious! We need those in Fairfax. As a warning to prevent future bowling accidents. And this would cut down perhaps on the bullshit of 1 for english, 2 for spanish on every fucking phone call I make, or the spanish writing on merchandise, or the ATM with that, oh and the cash registers(self checkout).
