Fairfax County Schools Closed Next Week- Snow Storm

With the big snow storm expected this weekend I just heard Fairfax county schools will be announcing Friday morning that all Fairfax County schools will be closed next week.

That's funny! Was watching news last night and the weather bimbo on Fox starts the program with "well we may be looking at a little early snow on sat, just how much and you'll have to stay tuned". 35 min later, finally says, well, the rain we get sat could end as a few wet flakes in the mountains, but if the storm stays off the coast, might not get anything. Too early to tell, but stay tuned the next couple days and we'll keep you posted.
Jesus, are they that starved for ratings that they have to play up this garbage this early in the season? How about focusing on actual news.
P.S. I'm from upstate NY - never ceases to amaze me how much people around here panic AND how many people around here can't freaking drive in ANY kind of bad weather. For god's sake, if it actually snows enough to be bad, stay home, read a book, play with your children or talk to your spouse. Better yet, get your fat butter ball butt off the couch and shovel the sidewalk in front of your house for a change.

Which is ironic since I see my neighbors going to the gym for a workout but paying someone else to cut their grass or shovel the snow. It confuses me much.

During the snowmageddon junk of 2010, my wife & I shoveled the sidewalk in front of 20 homes between our house and my kid's school. Otherwise, they had to walk in the street part of the way which was really dangerous w/ all the piles of plowed snow. NOBODY helped. In fact one fat woman stood on her porch and had the nads to say "you can do my driveway next". A few choice words later and she threatens to call the po leece. Should have brained her w/ the shovel.

There's no way there will be school on Monday. My mothers sisters second cousin knows a guy with a cousin that use work as a custodian for the FCPS. He said no way will there school on Monday and he's always right.
