Gunshots in Fairfax City Area

I've been hearing what could best be described as gunshots, from the Fairfax City area, for the past 10 mins or so. Distance is over a mile from Fairfax HS, and yes I've served in conditions such as this, and was wondering if others are hearing this, and are aware of any situations such as controlled hunts or criminal activity. Appear to be coming from the Woodson side of town.
