Fairfax County General :
Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Helicopters have been hovering over my house off and on the whole day for half an hour periods at a time. They fly so low, so late at night, NEVER with the spotlight on... Does anyone have any idea what they are doing? For months they have been circling my house about once a week, always VERY late at night. Today what they have been doing would constitute hovering, not circling. Is this some sort of pilot training? Why do they always choose to do this over MY house? Can I sue? They are obviously in violation of noise standards.
You could download a police scanner app and check out what is going on that way.
They have probably just discovered via infrared photography the vast sphere of light and heat radiating from your teenage son's basement garden, however.
But seriously, sue somebody quick! God knows you didn't scratch and claw and fellate your way into a suburban dream home just to have to listen to a HELICOPTER for God's sake!
Call the local station and ask to talk to the community liaison representative. They will look into it for you. Maybe people are hiding out in your backyard, you have no clue, but the police see it. You shold thank them.
My neighbor is a helicopter pilot for the Fairfax County Police. He was checking out his house from the air because he noticed a car in his driveway.
They are in their own little world up there. He was kinda surprised that we were even aware that he had hovered over our houses. He was more surprised that we knew it was him.

Maybe you should stop demanding to know why they won't put ice in the arena? Also stop with the FOIA requests and the podium shaking, you're scaring the Boy Scouts in the audience..
