Massive SNOW event! Everyone buy as much bread and TP as possible

Now that everyone is out shopping, remember this system wont be more than an inch and it will all be gone by the afternoon. But make a big deal out of it and crash you cars anyway.

What is it with that anyway? One time I was in a blizzard where I was stuck in my house for four days. I hadn't run out to the store ahead of time and I still didn't run out of milk or bread. Besides, you can always drink water instead of milk or eat mac and cheese instead of bread. I just don't get people sometimes.

I call it the "squirrel mentality". As a veteran of the Great Bailey's Crossroads
Bread Riot of '87, I will never understand this way of thinking. At this
moment, I have enough food to last for nearly a month if necessary. Water?
Melted snow if needed. If things get really bad, I have an air rifle and plenty
of squirrels in the back yard.

BTW, if you havent heard of the "Bailey's Crossroads Bread Riot", it was a
result of an impending snowstorm. People got into a brawl at the Safeway over
the last loaf of bread and the police had to break it up. Took them a while
too. Me! Me! Me!

Wow, that sounds more like something that would happen at the Soviet Safeway (or is it still a "Townhouse") in DuPont.

Hmmmm, lame comments about bread and tp. Nice to know that there's at least one thing more predictable than snow panic in the DC area.

Lol.

Several schools in SW VA closed. (Culpeper i know did) but most stupidly stayed open becuase rain was expected to make the snow melt. At 4:00 pm, 2 hours after that was forcasted to happen, it still hasnt. Thus relying one the weatherman again fails everyone.

And the horror of a 2" snow"storm" was the worst catastrophe since we got some wind last week. Lynch the weatherman!
