Probably because the moron shouldn't have been behind the wheel to begin with.

He was driving on a suspended, while drunk, and refused to have his breath/blood testing.

I'm thinking the magistrate decided to throw the book at his dumb ass.

Hit and run with injuries is a felony. Now if Dave Albos superfines were imposed on this bunch do you really think they are the type to cough up a couple of thousand bucks? They won't part with twenty bucks for a vaccination for the dog. I am sure paying tickets is way down the list.

That's a pretty nice neighborhood too. I guess scumbags can live anywhere.

Us school bus drivers don't like the Marshall Pond residents! We used to pull over on Marshall Pond after leaving Terra Centre but those buzzards complained and now we can't stop there anymore.

The County should have told them that it's a public street and to shove it, but they're such sissies when it comes to pissing off the taxpayers.

Except when it comes to re-districting! LOL

When you have these miscreants regulalry driving intoxicated or at excessive speeds on the loose in society, it is everyone's "damn business."

1/2 the charges mentioned are nolle prosequi or dismissed not to mention that 1/2 are minor traffic infractions. I don't appreciate people like you judging someone you don't know. I bet you've done some stupid stuff in your lifetime just like everyone else on this forum has so don't go passing judgement on someone unless you've lived a stellar existence. This is a good family...something you probably wouldn't know about

1/2 still leaves a great deal of offenses. People like me judge these people regularly. They are called juries. Something these people probably know a great deal about. Sure, everyone's done stupid stufff. I have never done any of the listed crimes, though. Smart people learn from their mistakes - something that seems to have escaped your friends. If you think they are a good family, let them drive you and your children around. It is only a matter of time before someone is killed when they are driving around drunk.

Might I add that some of these offenses were the result of them taking the fall for someone else(Maybe one of your children or friends) not to mention the worst of these offenses was not pursued...I guess the police officer who was responsible for that arrest didn't deem it important enough to show up for court...why don't you people talk about Fairfax County Police and their inability to show up to court.

Look through the threads, there are many on police misdeeds. Equal opportunity bashing for all - police and criminals. Hard to see how you take the fall for refusing a breath test, or many of the other charges here. Look, it is my safety and I certainly don't feel safe with this person on the road.

Look its obvious no one here has the facts so let me give you all some insight. Go to the Fairfax County General District Court Website and look them up for yourself if you're that concerned and see that the charges like refusal to blow was nolle prosequi (he couldn't blow b/c the officer didn't let him)

Understand that I'm not defending anything they've actually done. I'm a driver on the roads too and trust me I've given my fair share of chastizing to some of the above mentioned. What I AM disputing is the lack of understanding people on this forum are demonstrating. If they're that concerned they need to go to a website where the information is accurate.

For the record this person has listed what the CHARGES are not the outcome, non of which ever went to trial. I don't see how them not having their vaccination records is a public threat (Their animals were vaccinated, and the charges were dismissed)

Look, you obviously care about these people. Fine, but stop blowing smoke up our collective asses. The refusal to take a breath or blood was probably Nolle Prosequi because it was rolled up into the plea deal when he entered a guilty plea to the SECOND dwi. Prosecutors will usually drop the lesser charges in order to get a guilty plea. This appears to be the case here. He had his license suspended for three years because of that. He shouldn't be driving until 2009. He has a tendancy to ignore that while drunk. That is disconcerting. I hope you come back and review your comments after he hurts or kills someone (again).

I'M blowing smoke up your ass?!?!? Fuck you for throwing around an inaccurate statement by saying he killed or hurt someone because he didn't hence why it was never pursued. If he did I think that's considered vehicular manslaughter which ISN'T there. If they wanted to plea bargain they would've dropped the DUI in exchange for the felony charge which is bigger.

Like I said, I'm not defending any crime he truly committed, just the people on here are only seeing what the charges are and they have the nerve to call them names like they're the scum of the earth. They're not, they're good people that have made mistakes in life just like everyone else.

Either you are intentionally misrepresenting facts, or you are not aware of the situation. He got drunk, got behind the wheel, did a hit and run which injured a person. Thankfully, the person was not severely injured. The young man and his lawyer arranged a plea deal where he would agree to forfeit his license for three years. Simply bacause the charge was not pursued, does not take away from the fact that he did it. I happen to know about this case and you are full of shit. AGAIN, he DID hurt someone - just not seriously. If he continues on his current path, it is only a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt or dead. His actions are not mistakes, they are acts of selfishness or recklessness.

I'm VERY aware of the situation. I know he drank and drove. I know he hit someone, I know he made a mistake and he has since paid for it. If anything you misrepresented the facts when you threw out the statement that he killed someone. If you're so familiar with the case perhaps you could lend some insight as to why neither the officer nor the victim showed up to court??

I apologize that I was not more clear in my statement when I said "he hurts or kills someone (again)." I was implying that he hurt someone, not killed. I should have been more clear. But, you are changing your story. Above, you said, "Fuck you for throwing around an inaccurate statement by saying he killed or hurt someone because he didn't hence why it was never pursued." Now you say, "I know he hit someone," Only when presented with facts, do you come out with the whole story. Drinking and driving is more than a mistake. It is a series of choices that can lead to catastrophe. This young man has repetitively made these potentially deadly choices. It demonstrates a complete lack of respect for the lives of those in his community. When he, so carelessly, places my life and the lives of those I care about in harms way, he deserves no sympathy.

Wow, you're such a distortionist. Stop putting words in my mouth, never once did I say this individual deserves sympathy. Drinking and driving IS a mistake, no one should do it. I've done it, my mother's done it, my father, my aunt, uncle who is also a police officer. There isn't one person on here that can't say they haven't driven after drinking. The difference is people are just lucky not to have been caught.

I have repeatedly stated he did something wrong, and did not defend that which he did. I wasn't disputing he hurt someone, I disputed that he killed someone. Its not my fault you're not clear when making a statement.

What I don't understand is how you continuely ignore my question of if the crime of DUI AND hit and run on the felony level is so important (which it is) then how come the officer never showed up to court? You obviously don't want to answer that question which makes me wonder if you're the one who arrested him and forgot about it, and now you feel guilty because you let the community down by not keeping track of your court dates.

Look its obvious that you're gonna think what you think and I'm going to think what I think. My whole point of saying anything at all was in response to people on here degrading this family. They're good people who work hard and pay taxes just like everyone else and make mistakes like everyone else. If there's anything I've learned its don't pass judgement on people unless you've lived a perfect life. No one here has...yes some of these crimes committed demonstrate a lack of respect for the community, and he is in ASAP and ADS and is learning from his mistakes. This is the last I'm going to comment on because I have work on graduating college (something many on here probably haven't done) have a nice day...

Yes you are. You are saying 1/2 were dropped and the rest happened because they were taking the fall for someone else. That's called "defending" them.

I can say I have never driven after drinking. It is called responsibility. No, you didn't explicitly call for sympathy. You said "don't judge," "this is a good family," "they're good people that have made mistakes." These are all attempts to justify his crimes and elicit sympathy. Good people learn from their mistakes; they don't repeat them.

You did dispute he hurt someone. You said, "Fuck you for throwing around an inaccurate statement by saying he killed or hurt someone because he didn't hence why it was never pursued." See, right there you said HE DIDN'T.

I am not a law enforcement officer, I know about this case for different reasons. I cannot answer for why the officer was derelict in his duties. Difference here though, is there are no idiodic morons attempting to defend him the way tou are defending Mr. Laura.

You are in Fairfax County, you dumbass. College degrees around here are the equivilent of HS degrees anywhere else in the country. Get over yourself. My paper boy has a college degree. I'll give you his phone number if you want to discuss some job opportunities when/if you graduate.

This is the best thread ever. I'm glad to have started it!

"Family Friend" sounds like he/she has blinders on.

This family is far from "good." "Good" people don't drive around drunk without a license on MULTIPLE occasions--including one where they were charged with hit and run. Driving drunk doesn't seem to produce good results for Wilbert.

Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of crazy--or just plain stupid.

I hope that douchebag never gets his license back, driving is a privilege which requires someone to be responsible for their actions, this assclown has proven that he is not responsible many many times.

Awesome comeback -- I love it! I agree too. Probably most of us have a ticket or two on here, but I doubt there are many with 30 hits on the arrest list. That is not a nice family.

This thread is hilarious -- we should have a "featured family" thread every month, drawn from the arrest search!

Spelt is a perfectly cromulent word.

yeah, this is a pretty egregious sentence. it would be "spelled my name incorrectly" but seriously... "misspelled" isnt exactly something you are going to be asked about on the SAT.

While I personally wouldn't use "spelt," I looked it up in the dictionary and, you know, it is perfectly acceptable to use (as Anonymous Coward pointed out).

i reject that it's "perfectly acceptable," just like i reject "ain't," as being proper english.

Look it up in the dictionary for yourself. It is a proper use of the past tense of "spelled."

i didnt say it wasnt in there, im saying i reject it. if you didnt notice i wasnt alone in thinking it's improper. they also added "aint" to the dictionary but it doesnt mean im accepting it as a proper part of english. every once in a while they new ridiculous words or alternate definitions to some version of the dictionary. i gotta go mac on some hos now, foshizzle.

I do believe "spelt" was in the dictionary before "spelled." It sounds like old English to me.

The family has 30+ arrests listed. Isn't it safe to assume that for every arrest they probably broke the law multiple times for which they were not busted? For example, most people with DUIs have probably driven drunk a number of times prior to getting caught. God only knows what else they've done.

This entire family is a collective douchebag.

Am I the only one who is curious as to what they look like? For some reason I picture the dad looking like Nathan Explosion from Metalocalypse. The daughters have probably been in the same flip flops year round for the last three years, and I imagine that the women probably don't keep up on their hair color and have several inches of roots showing. I can't decide if they are fat or thin...

I dunno, Socorro seems to have kept his nose relatively clean except for the letting dogs off leash bit. My theory is that they get money under the table from the Minutemen factions to make all Hispanics look bad.

Dude! Give them a break. Your judging them by yes a DUI but half of these charges are off a DOG getting loose!!! I do understand that DUI is bad but come on I didn't realize that a DOG makes a family bad LOL. They should just get rid of that dog.

How many of you, including ME have driven home after drinking a couple of glasses of wine or whatever you all drink. Yes it's messed up that they drank and drove but I'm sure that all of you posting this have done it at least once in your lives. I'm sure NONE of you can say you haven't. The difference between you and them is simple: You haven't been caught. It's as simple as that.

My mother blew a point .08 after having a single glass of wine with dinner. Does this make her a danger to the community? If so then we should go back to the 20's when prohibition was in effect

Come on guys, I got caught with a .10 and got it dropped it down to reckless, does that means I'm a "killer." I'm a college student and most of my friends drink and drive and guess what, we dont get caught! Guess were all safe drivers, right?

No, not a "killer" because you got caught before you had the chance to kill someone. "Moron", "dumbass", "idiot", yes. Killer, no.

K? Thanks

See, when I plan on driving in the next 2-3 hours, I'm able to say 'no' to alcohol. It seems you are unwilling/unable to do this. I wonder if we will see you posting in a few months/years whining about how the 'pigs' busted you.

As for the dog getting loose, are we talking 'someone forgot to shut the gate one day' or 'someone likes to walk their hostile pit bull around the neighborhood without a leash?'

The big difference is that Mr. Laura has done it multiple times and on a suspended license. He has also injured people in the process. Did your mom hit someone and flee the scene while driving drunk?

Formerchick, I hate to say it, but if they police became involved and they were ticketed, the Lauras are probably guilty of the latter part of your statement. Otherwise, who would care that much?

Have a heart people !!!

What if it was you ?

Think about it.... there you are, sitting there depressed about your situation and all of your legal troubles so you reach for the one thing that you know will bring you a little comfort....booze. Then, just when yer good and drunk reality comes crashing back when you jump up screaming "Holy shit ! Where are my unvaccinated dogs ?!?!"

I am formerhick, not formerchick. ;)

I have possessed male sex organs my entire life. I am, however, from a part of Virginia that prides itself on 'not being Northern Virginia' as opposed to you know, actually having an economy.

And yes, I'm going to guess that it's the latter. But at least this one has a plausible 'I can see how this happened innocently' story as opposed to the DUI, driving w/o license, speeding, etc.

If you want to twist my statements to make them all about race, that is your problem.

To me, it seems the Lauras do not have their lives together. Yet they choose to start shooting out kids left and right, who will be raised without positive role models and values. Hit and Run: running away from your problems and the consequences. DWI/Weed: numb your problems! Obstructing justice: do whatever you have to do to get off the hook from your problems! Unrestricted dogs: Irresponsibility towards animals. These are just a few examples of why I think the Lauras shouldn't make more Lauras.

And my dog come on well yeah he diead a few weeks ago and yes he had a running away problem so we got in trouble for it all the time its like like we didnt give a damn about him n let him out to run the streets. we could have took the easy way out but we loved him so put up with it and tried all we could do to keep him in our house but shit happens. but then again im sure you have a perfect lil dog who would never run cause ur so perfect just back off and dont talk if you have no clue what your saying this site is kinda funny. if you really only knew us you would feel like a real jasck ass yes my bro made most of the mistakes u are talking about but he is dealing with it the rest of the shit is just regular shit people get pulled over for everyday so if your baseing our whole family on my bro who yes who made big mistakes but is paying for it now. So dont go saying i cant breed and dont have my life together when u dont have a clue

I do not believe this is the real Leslie. No one could write so poorly. Plus what mother would use such bad language in a post.

Oh TRICKIE, I'm afraid it really is her. She provided links to a real Myspace. It's kind of sad that she is doing this because rather than proving her family has it together and are good people, she's only making them more notorious than they already are. However, she has provided us with a service: First we only knew where they lived, but now we also know what they look like should we ever run into them at school, the grocery store, or most likely, driving down the road...

Living well is the best revenge. If the Laura family have changed for the better we won't be seeing them again in these lists.

understatement of the century. you idiots do not learn.

the easy solution was exactly what you took, not giving a damn that he got loose all the time. seriously, it's not hard to prevent your dog from getting loose. i had a dog for 10 years and there were less than 10 times that the dog managed to get loose. if you got ticketed for this shit i wouldnt be surprised if it was running loose daily. btw, how did your dog die, did it finally get plowed over by a car? good riddance.

this is NOT everyday shit, it's series of offenses half a decade long. how the hell does someone get "RECKLESS DRIVING GENERAL"? he must have been driving like a maniac to get that. my guess is that you pack of retards moved into the area in 2001 because that's when the paper tail begins. did they kick you out of the last town or something?

> So dont go saying i cant breed and dont
> have my life together when u dont have a clue

a clue? a long paper trail is a clue, nay, a red flag. you and your whole family need to get out of the gene pool.

LMAO. This thread is hilarious. I'm glad I came across it. What is more funny is that one of the subjects of this thread found about it and responded. It is classic entertainment when you see a hillbilly try and defend herself with the written word. Just as much fun as watching a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. Both the one legged man and the hillbilly are completely unequipped to engage in the fight. It is a very ugly experience. Yet, it is like roadkill . . . people just can't help but stare. To funny!

On a tangent, I think every neighborhood has a family like the Lauras. You know which one I'm talking about. That family that everybody wishes would have moved away yesterday but nobody has told that to their face because they are afraid they will wake up with smashed out windows on their car.

and perfectly capable of using the foulest of curse words. So don't discount that she is who she claims to be based on just her potty mouth.

In fact, her potty mouth and near-illiteracy makes me even more likely to believe she was, in fact, spawned from the Laura family.

I feel sorry for her, as she seems to have some sort of Stockholm Syndrome-type affliction following her escape from the Laura house, so I will give her a free tip: Taking the fall for others' bad behavior isn't love, it's called enabling. Look it up. Additionally, any person who would allow someone to take the fall for their actions is not a person deserving of your love (well, except for "tough love").

Lastly, Mrs. McGuckin, since you obviously would not have learned this lessing growing up where you did, I'll give you one more life tip: Personal responsibility = success in life.

I'll repeat myself, just to be clear: Personal Responsibility = Success.

that should have been "lesson," not "lessing," obviously.
