Is that an abandoned farm?

If it were abandoned, why would the lawn be mowed and why are there somewhat fresh tire tracks near the buildings?

Come on now, use your noggin Scooby Doo.

It's abandoned, but watched over by the neighbors. The main house was built in 1779, and the barn dates to 1904; Both are in a state of near collapse.

I've got photos of the site here, if you're interested:

In the middle of your article/blog about the old farmhouse, you digress rather strangely into this:

If you look really closely at the bolt in the middle of this picture, you'll notice a white speck sitting on top of it. Magnified to full resolution, this speck becomes a tick, perched and ready to pounce on the nearest passerby.

It goes without saying that he was not alone.

You're weird.

Eesh: No doubt. I'm the weirdest! (In my defense, it's no fun being covered in ticks.)

VEIK: Thanks very much! :)

PS: I see where the confusion's coming from, Eesh. Bad design on my part. Each of the photos is intended to stand on its own, they're not supposed to be read all as a single article, but the site really clutters everything up when you look at groups of related photos.

What can I say? I stink on ice! :)
