DeAngelo Hall - Hot Dog
Posted by: Fairfax Felix ()

Once again, DeAngelo Hall puts his foot in his mouth. He was mouthing off all week about what he was going to do to the Cowboys - then he gets beat on what turned out to be the game winning play (not to mention a number of earlier plays where he got burned).
DeAngelo, please shut up and stop giving the competition rallying fodder.
You are a good DB but no where near a great one.

LOL. Absolutely concur.

Whenever a Redskins runs their mouth before a game, it's pretty much a guaranteed loss. They ain't the sharpest knives in the drawer.

And then to top it all off, after getting burned on the play of the game he has the nerve to hang his lack of coverage on Jim Haslett. Now, perhaps Haslett didn't call the right play and should not have been blitzing on 3rd and 21 but, if D-Hall makes a play ANY play on that ball, then it doesn't matter.

Just once, I'd like one of these million dollar mother fuckers to step up to the mic and take responsibility for what they didn't do and/or should have done.

"Romo made a great throw...Bryant was my responsibility and I didn't cover him enough to prevent him from making the catch..."

These guys are more concerned with preserving their suspect to begin with reputations then they are making plays on the field. Admitting you didn't make the play doesn't make you a bad person or cause people to think that because you missed one play and then admitted it that you don't belong in the league or someone else on the team should have your job. It just means you didn't make the play. When you make mistakes, D-Hall...no one dies.

Well Haslett should get thrown under the bus for the playcall. No excuse for that...you know they are throwing on 3rd and 21....no reason to bring the house.

I had a hard time understanding why Hall was running his mouth. It's not as if that guy seeks out contact. He has had a total of one sack in 103 games. And it took him two games to get that one sack. He got a half-sack as a rookie in 2004, and another half in 2008.

Idiot.

When a player calls out a coach publicly, especially one as average as Hall, you can kiss that loudmouth goodbye. Keep your pie-hole shut and play the damn game, which you are obscenely overpaid for. Then pack your bags asshole.

Hall couldn't cover his mouth when he coughs.

He does this every week. Last time he was talkin about how he trains in the off-season with Larry Fitzgerald and how Fitzgerald has never ever scored on him in a game and isn't all the great against him.....

Fast forward to last Sunday, Fitty puts a double move that D-Hall bites 100% on, runs right by him, catches a 80 yard touchdown.

D-Hall is about 95% talk and 5% action. I give him credit for being a playmaker, but he acts like he's the best corner in the league when he is far from it.

He's all or nothing on coverage. He'll pick off 4 Jay Cutler passes in a single game, or get burned on the big pass that'll play a crucial part in costing the team the game.

I appreciate his bravado and confidence. You want that in a player, but his defiance, his willingness to throw someone else under the bus, and his inability to maintain a little sense of humility is definitely a small cause for concern.

The latter happens much more often than the former.

Absolutely, but as easy as it is, I suppose roasting DeAngelo Hall isn't going to do anyone any good. Grind your teeth, accept, and move on. There's enough blame to go around for the entire team. Rocca, Haslett, Shanny Jr., Grossman. They all played a part in that loss.

They need to come out next week and stomp the fuck out of the Rams and put this loss behind them. As good as it'd feel to see them remain undefeated, they need to go into the first bye week on a high note and maintain a strong standing in the conference for as long as they can.

Who the hell cares? It's week 3...no loss in September is a season ending loss. I love all the homers on 106.7 who called in predicting the Redskins to win 34-13 or 27-0 LMAO

I have to say that this was the first game where I saw just some blatantly stupid play calling, especially in the Red Zone. What was that stupid gadget running play with Moss that was dead as soon as he went into motion? And the constant running in the Red Zone. Does Grossman not know how to throw a Fade? And what was the deal with running with no time outs and less than a minute to play before the half...at mid field!

I'd also like to add that Haslett is off the hook for the playcall for TWO reasons:

1) When you send a blitz like that, your expectation is that they'll get to the quarterback and either get the sack, a fumble or cause him to throw it away.

2) Failure of the blitz to kill the play before the ball is thrown, the coverage still has the opportunity to intercept or knock the ball away.

Haslett called the play he called because Dallas was 2 of 9 on 3rd down conversions because his players had been making plays. If he calls a prevent defense there, he prevents them from winning.

I didn't watch the second half, but my understanding was that the Cowboys were behind at that point and if they had punted at that point the Redskins could have conceivably run out the clock on the next possession. If that is accurate, it was a stupid call by Haslett. Even if Dallas was ahead by a few points at that point, there was really no need for that call.

Probably a mistake on my part but,,,

The Official 2011 Washington Redskins Thread is in Off Topic this year,,,

Seems like a lot of the regulars in the general forum don't venture over to crazy town,,,

You're only saying that because the play didn't work. Coaches call the plays they call because they expect their players to execute and make plays. Now if the opposition had been 100% on converting their 3rd downs and Haslett was continuing to call the same coverage/blitz package, then we could question the playcalling.

I love how D Hall always compares himself to Revis and Aso (which by the way hasn't looked to good himself this season thus far). Hall is a bum...last season he wanted to cover the best players on the field, then immediately gets burned by the Rams the following Sunday. He will never know when to shut up, it's all about being black in america ALL BARK NO BITE!

How does Deangelo's covering abilities have ANYTHING to do with the color of his skin?

Its sickening, embarrassing, and shameful that there are such bigoted, racists fucks in the fan base.

Yeah. Who would of thought a team named "The Redskins" could have racist fans?

Truly unfortunate, the racist talk, uncalled for. We're talkin' about football and an immature individual.

Give me a break about the coaches et al loving his "passion."

BTW, if D-Hall was in New York, can you imagine what the media would do to him -----

FORGETABOUTIT!!!

This will be DeAngelo's last year with the skins. They are trying to rid the team of lazy, overpaid players that talk better than they can play.

I don't think D Hall is lazy. If he didn't run his mouth so much, he would be an asset in certain situations. However, he's not a one-on-one cover guy. He needs help over the top to free him up for interceptions. That said, throwing his coach under the bus twice in two seasons should be enough for him to get his walking papers as soon as his contract allows.

There just aren't enough good corners available to send D.Hall packing,,,

He'll look way better when Buchanon is back in there to help,,,
