Can you get a driving on suspended charge dismissed after conviction?

Can you get a driving on suspended charge dismissed after conviction if you get your license reinstated? I say no, my buddy says yes. Who is right. He is of the mindset that if it is the first conviction you can get it dismissed if u get your license reinstated. I say fat chance.

Once you are convicted you are convicted. There is nothing to 'dismiss' at that point. What you can do is appeal to the court to have the conviction expunged. If expunged, probably with certain terms like no criminal offenses in a certain number of years, it will be permanently removed from your criminal record.
