Robinson is going to dominate the Region. If they can play SB to a 3 point game, then they are going to hurt some people this season.

Chantilly beat up on Woodson, but it was deceiving. The score was 0-0 after one quarter and shouldve been 10 - 0 at half. Woodson just couldnt keep it up, and eventually they ran out of steam and Chantilly blew the doors open. If Chantilly played Robinson or Centerville tonight the same way they played against Woodson, the Chargers wouldve gotten smoked. About as unimpressive as a 44-0 score can get (if thats possible).

Robinson wins the Region this year. No doubt about it.

Lee will be a strong contender in the patriot district this year.

Also,

West Springfield- 42
Edison- 34

(may be off a wee bit)

Are you serious, neither Robinson or SB looked very impressive.

SB is no where near the team they have been in the past, and neither is Robinson. They still will roll thru D5 except when they get to SOCO or Lee.
Robinson will struggle with Westfield, Centreville, Oakton, Lake Braddock, and Chantilly.

Lee beating Marshall, no surprise, Marshall is terrible.
TCW beating Wakefield, again no surprise, why are they even playing Wakefield.
West Pot beating MV, no biggie there, MV is not very good.
In the long run, the power points will catch up to these teams, come playoff time.

Chantilly beating Woodson 44-0, not surprised Chantilly won, just surprised at the score. I thought Woodsons defense would be better than that.

West Springfield beating Edison, a little surprised there, I didnt think West Springfield would be very good.Although, Edison isnt all that, I thought they would beat West Springfield.

I think the best game tomorrow night will be Centreville vs Lake Braddock.
Centreville has all the hype, but Braddock is alot better than people think. It should be a close game, I think Braddock wins at the end with Defense.

Too soon to tell about Robinson since it is under a new coach. They should have done better. SB needs to either get in the big district with Rob,West, et.al or stay in Loundon County.TCW wastes itself by playing Wakefield,we'll see what they do in the next two weeks.

The SB Robinson game was a snooze fest The positives I could say for SB was they seemed to stop Robinson with their D vs Robinson's offense just being ineffective. The other way Sb's offense looks pathetic and they stop themselves vs. Robinson's D actually stopping them.

SB has no offensive weapons other than their QB who was asked to do very little last night. SB lost their fullback to grades, this back would have reloaded them at that position as in other years, he was next in line and now he's unavailable. They also lost to bad attitude their second best playmaker who transfered out when being beat out on defense, wanted to play both ways, this had a serious cascading effect on the skills part of their game. Burns has one receiver to throw the ball to, after that there is no one else to throw to or hand the ball to, that has never happened at SB before. They start 1 senior at tackle and 1 senior at WR the rest are juniors and sophs, the youngest offense at SB ever.

SB will struggle all year to find an offensive identity and their D will have to carry them until they do

Don't crown Robinson Concorde champs based on holding SB to 3 last night SB has a lot to sort out to be worthy of the Post ranking them number 2

Stuart crushed G Mason 37-7. Which shouldnt be a surprise since Stuart is AAA and Mason is A. But Mason had won 5 meetings in a row. Finally, Stuart beat them bad last year and again this year.

But Stuart was sloppy, especially on O. Both the QB and RB have take it to the house speed. But the execution wasnt very good. A lot of missed blocks on the OL. Theyre gonna get killed by Annandale if they don't play more sharp.

I can't believe Woodson couldn't even score, at home? I hope they don't go 0-10 this year. I thought they got a good new coach, and had good recruits.

Was anyone at the Woodson game? What happened?

Was anyone at the West Springfield vs Edison game? The play calling for that game was just horrible. W.S. kept alternating QB's, one who had an arm and one who could run. It became pretty obvious who was going to do what when a certain QB was in, KEEP RUNNING IT UP THE MIDDLE COACH!!!!

If you want a QB who can only run, play wildcat, if you want one who can throw, throw the ball sometimes.

I was there. Woodson completed 2 passes, they have no passing game. Chantilly figured out all they would do is run and loaded the box. Woodson had a good 6 minute possession to start the game then it was downhill from there.

I thought Woodson would be okay this year from what people were saying about them, but they looked pretty bad.

Chantilly 44, Woodson 0
Westfield 52, South Lakes 6 (up 45-0 at half)
Centreville 23, Lake Braddock 8
Oakton 55, Madison 17

then
Stone Bridge 3, Robinson 0 ain't shabby.

The Concorde is the most stacked I have ever seen it. We've been talking about it all offseason and it didn't disappoint.

Westfield embarassed a middle of the pack South Lakes team. Chantilly shutout Woodson. Centreville beat probably the strongest non-Concorde D6 team and their defense looked great.

Now southlakes isnt very good, they lost everyone, and their d wasnt good anyways last year. Chantilly should be good. Centrevilles d as well as robinsons? Superb, though stone bridge o is lacking qb and rb from last year. I saw some video on yorktown-they look very good.

Actually, no. Madison came out strong in the first quarter and took Oakton by surprise, running a totally different game plan than expected and matching Oakton the whole first half. The score is misleading. Madison will make a good showing this season.

The Madison Oakton score was not even close because it should have been a lot worse.

I think that the Oakton team was much much better. But Madison has the correct staff in place because their team was well coaches and if given a chance could rebuild that program soon.

Oakton intercepted the first pass on the second play and scored. The play was called back on a bad holding call, then Madison took the play 70 for a score. Madison then recovered an onside kick on the next play. FG because of that play. Great job by the coach on that call.

That was the end of Madison. Oakton ran the ball down all over them after that. If it were not for a few costly Oakton penalty the game could have gotten more out of hand.

Woodson had a pretty good first quarter. Unfortunately for them the qb sucks. He looks like he's fearing for his life when defense comes close. You can't played scared. He needs to go back to JV. Woodson needs to find somebody--anybody or they are done. The rest of the team looks pretty good but w/out a qb there is no team!

I completely agree. Makay or whatever his name is, is absolute garbage. I feel bad for the kids he plays with cause he's just making them all worse. The rest of the team looks good. Dash, Hogan, and Stokes looked good on offense. If only they had a QB to give them the ball. Defense looked alright. Reeves didn't do as well as I thought he would have. Maybe he's all hype?

I disagree..I saw McKay at camp and he was very good. However, they were running a spread/empty and some bunch packages there against us. I am not sure why Dishun didnt want to stick with that offense since it worked well at camp. Now they are running a straight Wing T and it is so obvious every play what they are doing. Trap or Run right/left. How can you say mcKay sucks when he only threw it like 5 times. Even when they were down big, it was still wing T. Come on Joe, open it up a bit.

McKay does suck....are you blind. At camp there was no real defense --no tackles!!!! McKay gave Chantilly more yds (w/his pics) than our own guys.
He is scared!!! He is making our players look bad out there- they need to make some qb adjustments, maybe if he sees some competition he'll leave his fear at home!

Re: High School Football Scores

I am not blind. I have coached in this region for many years...and when a kids only passing opportunity is WAggle pass and he is throwing every time off his back feet because he is running for his life, then there is a problem with play calling not the kid. Last season he did a decent job as a sophomore running the Spread and dropping back. There is no way he has gotten worse in a year. He is just running an offense that he is not suited for.

Here were Woodsons plays: Sweep Right, then Sweep LEft, then Trap, then Waggle. Thats their offense...period. And its more like sweep left, sweep right, sweep left, sweep right....ok 3rd and long...waggle pass. Hard to throw the ball when every team is going to be bringing everyone on the blitz every play to stop the runs and they know what pass play you are doing on 3rd downs..

Lets call it what it is - both of you are correct. Mackay does indeed suck, AND the playcalling is terrible. The O-Line is pretty bad too. So when you combine the three, you get a 44-0 butt whipping. Gotta love the fact that theyre running the Wing-T. Its like they're begging to go 0-10.

Thanks The Trooth- Mckay can't even fake pass...he literally holds the ball out for defense to see exactly who he's handing it too. He is not quick on his feet either. He couldn't read the defense last year and is no better this year. Plays are limited with him as a qb. Again, until Woodson finds a solution to the qb problem...the Cavs are doomed. Trying to justify Mckay's playing can only come from a girlfriend or family member!

If you were paying attention you would have realized the QB #12 could pass but they didn't have to. Why pass when the run
couldn't be stopped. #12 had a bomb on his second drive dropped that would have been a touchdown to #26. Once they actually let the younger QB play the whole game defenses better not sleep on his passing ability because they will get killed on play action.
