Someone broke into my car
Posted by: Linda ()
Date: December 24, 2007 09:27AM

12/24/07 6:50 a.m.

Last night I parked my car in my driveway (Sammie Kay Lane at Faircrest Community in Centreville) and as I was carrying my child in my arms, I forgot to lock my car. Inside the car, I left 3 already wrapped Christmas presents for children. This morning as my husband was living to work, realized that the 3 Christmas presents were on the street side. Whoever broke into my car was not interested in toys since these were dropped on the street. I also left on the front floor driver side a set of ungrapped new pijamas. The strange thing is neither the toys nor the pijamas were taken but instead they left on the front seat a green case full of CDs of Angelic Piano Music in what appears to be Korean language. If you know anything about this incident, please let me know ASAP. I will report this to the police. Thanks.

It's kind of a reverse robbery if they left you something!

And how did they break into your car if you "forgot to lock" it?

Duh...
"Breaking"...
the criminal act of entering a residence or other enclosed property through the slightest amount of force (even pushing open a door), without authorization.

Are you suggesting failure to lock implies consent to enter...in this case a vehicle? If you continue with that logic....we could all walk into your house if you "forgot" to lock the door! Party at Duh's!!!!

an unlocked door doesnt imply consent, it implies stupidity.

This happened to me last year same time and date. They didn't take anything but left a red CD case with Alaskan Eskimo and whale songs.

There was also a note that said "We broke into this car for what? Stop buying crappy presents!"

They put locks on cars for a reason. Also, the Faircrest is an unsafe community. And, it was probably a bunch or punk kids looking for soem fun.

No, I thought that this (or the open house door scenario) would be unlawful entry. What's the difference between breaking and entering and unlawful entry then?

Anyway, the chick is lucky she didn't have to spend the day at an auto glass shop today.

Please help a working theif at Christmas by taping the recepits to the package. We must eat too ! Ans need more than day old egg roll from the dumpster behind Giant shopping center.

FYI:
I think it is more stupid of those that obviously did not understood the only purpose of the message. If you could only read, think and realized that I didn't leave my car unlock in purpose to invite stupid people like you to break into it and to look at three Christmas presents that are worth more than 150.00 without being able to recognize that and by the way the presents were taken from a 2006 GX470 Lexus......I did have more important things to take care of such as my child than to being paranoic thinking that some idiot will brake into my car just to mess with my presents and to leave me another one........hope my note helps some smart people that can really read and get the message.
Despite of your opinion, I believe FAIRCREST is a safe community. However, you must have a very good reason to believe otherwise. Perhaps, you are one of those or one who hungs around with those. Please limit yourself to write back in regard of my original message or this one if you are not going to have something intelligent to say.

some Reasons for saying Faircrest is unsafe:

1. Built on site of forest which was used as a dump and camp for homeless people. How do I know this? I lived here before they built it and Ive been around it. So if you kids goes and plays in the woods or digs a holse somewhere, he'll probably get stabbed by a hypo needle or toxic waste.

2. Hell of a lot of people in a small community. The houses are packed in there and a lot of people in a small place is never good.

3. Many of the population is either Hispanic or Asian, i.e Does not speak english well. Even if they do, there is fake gang activity, as many of the hispanics moved to Faircrest when Sunset Knolls was ripped out. Also people from Centre Ridge moved there (black, hispanic) Check out some of the grafitti.

Anyway, Lets arrange a time and place so can get my Angellic Korean music CD's back, ok? thanks!

OP is just plain stupid.

What are you implying by saying you have an old ass Lexus that you are somehow wealthy or not worthy of having someone break into your POS car?

Also, you probably shouldn't post such revealing information about yourself on this forum. Sammie Kay Lane in Centerville is a pretty small street. Pretty easy to pick out your house now that you posted what kind of (shitty) car you drive.

And now people know you are pretty much a fucking moron who leaves things unlocked. Hope you start locking your house and car from now on. There are some real deviants on this forum, I have noticed.

i didn't see that either

whoever OP is has been doing it allot

unress there's something terribly interesting about an old post QUIT DOING IT

it's not considered good behavior on any blog or forum board (chat, or linux boards) (save perhaps automotive - people who actually "get the difference" and act appropriately)

The posting of personal info is not very smart.
