The Deadskins
Posted by: Wrong Way Ramsey ()
Date: August 26, 2005 08:34PM

Not even done with the First Quarter and Patrick "Wrong Way" Ramsey has already thrown an interception.

Brunell - Old

New QB - Green

Portis - No Power

Moss - Too Small

Betts - Not Enough Power

Arrington - Who Cares?

Gibbs - Nothing to Prove

Snyder - Moving on to Magic Mountain

So, anyone got some Ravens tickets you are looking to sell?

Ooops, can I use that name or will someone think me insensitive?

Anyway, it's funny how similar the Skins and the Ravens are, isn't it? Both have bad QB's that are under the gun, good RB's, better than average defense, and plenty of legal problems by their players. If Angelos owned the Ravens, the similarities would be eerily similar with both teams have Napoleonistic micro-managing owners.

At least the Ravens make it to the playoffs most years because they play in a crappy division. And and least defensively they are fun to watch.

The Redskins, on the other hand, have become an unmitigated disaster. They basically serve as a farm team for the rest of the league.

Think about it. The Redskins trade Brad Johnson to the Tampa Bay Bucs, the next year Tampa wins the SuperBowl. They trade Steven Davis to the Panthers, the next year the Panthers make it to the SuperBowl. The question this year is which team makes it to the SuperBowl - the Vikings because they got Fred Smoot from the Skins or the Jets because they got Coles. My money is on the Vikings because the Jets can't beat New England.

Ravens Simone--good points all, but I can't see the Vikes doing much without Moss now. I wouldn't put much money in the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets either, but we can agree that the Skins won't be going anywhere this year. But the lemmings will continue to show up at Fed Ex and pay all that money for parking, concessions, tickets, etc, etc, so why should lil' Danny care?

Redskins are playing good? nice grammar. how do you figure that they are playing "good" anyway? they suck dead bear. even if they were playing well (note the use of correct grammar asshat) it is still only preseason. get back to me when the games count. skins will be no better than 6-10 this year.

First of all gentleperson, my problem was not with your spelling, it was with your command and usage of the english language. There is a difference, but if you are not sure of that, push away from the computer and pick up a book and figure it out.

Second, as I said before, it is only preseason. No one cares about wins and losses in preseason and until the games mean anything, your debate over how the team is playing is meaningless.

To continue this debate with you would be pointless because you obviously are one of the lemmings that Mr. Snyder relies on to fill his wallet, so nothing I say to you will make a bit of difference. However, if you would like to discuss you lack of command of the language, please to be responding to me and I will do what I can to enlighten you. Now I must say good day to you, sir.

Oh no Randy, 6 Flags and the Skins are very much related. You can't look at them as two different ventures. Say what you will about lil Danny, but he is a good businessman and if there is a way to squeeze a buck out of the lemmings pockets, he will do so. Keep in mind that one of the biggest reasons that lil Danny bought 6 Flags was because he felt the amusement park was underutilized in the area of advertising. Think you'll start seeing more burgandy and gold around the park???

Really? Their offensive numbers tonight were pretty mediocre. Maybe the Steelers offense just sucks because Ruffleburger was over-rated last year and actually after getting his ass kicked in the play-offs last year even HE now realizes it.

Yeah. Look at the blocking. Jason Campbell was running like a chicken out there trying not to get hit. He should have been running back for the Steelers considering how far he had to drop back and he still got hit. If you hadn't noticed, most of the Redskin's plays were runs, not passes. And even most of the passes were the same kind of dump-off throws Gibbs tried last year. When the first-team defenses are out there starting in September, the Redskins will suck. I bet Ramsey is out after week 4. Snyder won't fire Gibbs until the end of the season out of respect.

First, even Portis admits he has no power. He calls himself a finesse runner. Second, Santana Moss is 5-10. Randy Moss, on the other hand, is 6-4. T.O. is 6-3. Santana should be the option, not the go-to guy. And as for catching like a God, he should have caught at least one of the two passes Ramsey threw short. If he were 6-3, he would have.

Lemming. Looking at the world through burgandy and gold glasses. Remember the feeling that you have right now. The happiness that you feel right now resulting from your team winning will not be repeated very often when it matters in the regular season. Get your enjoyment when you can.

yeah hes short? Michael Westbrook was the size of T.O but amounted to nothing. So his height doesnt reflect his skill

edit: westbrook is actualy a prize fighter now, i saw him kick some dudes ass on Tough Man last month in HD.. he also kicked stephen davis ass in traning camp a few years back, i believe westbrook is a blackbelt

You still have to have skill. I'm just saying height matters in today's NFL for receivers. You don't think a taller receiver has a distinct advantage in terms of stretching for a catch or jumping up in the back of the end zone? I'm just saying, Santana Moss is a fine receiver, but with the kind of money Danny likes to throw around, it would have been nice to get a top flight receiver and not some other team's option guy.

But how tall are today's CBs? The tall ones were groomed to be receivers at an early age. As long as you have a higher reach and jump than the majority of them, you're golden. I saw santana moss play in his final college game at the sugar bowl in 2001. I must say, he kicked ass.

Moss is 5-10. He is nearly average height.

As for being good in college, I have two words for you: Danny Weurfel.

Nuff said?

I blame Danny.

Now just wait and see what I do in Oakland. I now have a play-off caliber QB and expensive marquee talent.

...Oh. I guess I had that in DC, too.

My bad. I just suck as a coach.

Their still dead.
And with that stated, they won't have to be renamed.
