WTOP Traffic Blows!!!

Their new slogan should be:
"We'll be sure to you get to work Late, with Traffic and Weather Together on the Eight's!!!"
Have to put in my two cents as WTOP Traffic royaly screwed me over this morning... When debating on taking 395N or 295N into DC they mentioned some 'back-up' (which was completely false) on 395N around the 14th Street Bridge, and NO MENTION of any traffic on 495 Outer Loop in Alexandria or before the Woodrow Wilson Bridge... So thinking I'll beat this 395N traffic (which I often do), I thought I'd fly around the beltway and get on 295N and be at work on time... problem was that I come to a complete stop in Alexandria on the Outer Loop and keep listening to WTOP and don't hear ANYTHING... then after moving 5 miles an hour for about 30 minutes I finally see a sign that says "Road Construction Next 12 Miles" !!!... I'm finally so fed up that I take the next exit (which took me another 15 minutes to get to) and turned around to backtrack my way back around the beltway all the way to get on 395N (which I'd passed by over a half hour ealier) and flew the whole way on 395N all the way to my final destination in DC.... These idiots screw me over time and time again with their innacurate traffic information, I'm done listening to them... and that was previously the ONLY reason I ever listened to them. I could probably site 12 more examples off the top of my head, but this one took the cake.... and with no other substantial radio news competition in the market these guys can just spout off anything they want until the cows come home.

The "construction next 12 miles" signs have been there for what, almost two years now? Not like that was anything new. The beltway in Virginia is one continuous construction zone all the way from the Woodrow Wilson to Tysons and has been that way for many, many months.

Yeah Really ya jerk off... the sign has only been there a couple of weeks and 9 times out of 10 that route has no traffic at all... next time you don't know what you're talking about do us all a favor and keep your mouth shut.

WTOP traffic has improved immensely since they got rid of Lisa Baden. It's not perfect, but at least I don't have to hear about Father Hurley Blvd for 90 percent of the reports.

Blah blah blah, accident on 66 EB, blah blah blah outer loop slow from GA avenue through Silver Spring blah blah blah slow in both directions at the Wilson Bridge. There is your traffic report every day. If you need WTOP to tell you what roads to take you are in trouble.
