Hooters does a good wing, as does the Wing Factory out in Chantilly. Buffalo Wing University (if it still exists) is my least favorite in the area.

i've had pretty much all the wings around here over the years....

IMO, hands down, the best wings are the standard Glory Days wings. i'm not a fan of the jalapeno peppers they put on, but they dont do much to the flavor once you flick 'em off.

no breaded ( hooters ) abominations, no frooty flavored styles - garlic, oriental, whatever creations these places come up with.

just standard wings. bleu cheese for dipping of course. ranch dressing is for salads and sissies.

Austin Grill had really good wings. But the last time I went they seemed to have changed the recipe, Still good, but not as good as before.

I vote for Bugsy's in Old Town. Very big and meaty wings not like those tiny ones you get in so many other places. The Buffalo sauce tastes different than traditional buffalo sauce but I like it.

I have to say that the best wings hands down are Buffalo Wing University. I go there every couple of weeks and was never let down. My favorite are the spicy ranch wings, so good!!

Disappointed to see no bw3s on here though I can understand with only two locations one in crystal city and one in haymarket. They really do have fantastic wings though...I prefer them to most of the places listed by others.

Buffalo Wing Factory, then Glory Days, then Hard Times.

I like Wing University. My favorite is Quaker Steak & Lube. The closest is in Fredericksburg, but I read that they would be opening one in Manassas.

There is one near Potomac Mills too. We tried it once, but the service was poor.

Glory days' wings are okay, but right when I get home, I get explosive diarrhea. I call them the glory dumps.

that's unfortunate...I would highly suggest going again if you haven't had a second try maybe one of the other locations. I've been to the one in harrisonburg and two in pittsburgh...service was always good...food was terrific...I hate when bad service ends up ruining what could be a good experience.

Damnit they need to build one somewhere in fairfax already!

I'm from Buffalo NY, so I am constantly in search of a good wing experience. While I definitely enjoy the wings from Glory Days, Hard Times, Bungalows and the like, but they're all missing something in the sauce, not so Buffalo authentic to me. My personal A-squad includes:

- Jimmy's Old Town Tavern in Herndon (Run by a guy from the greater Buffalo area)
- Buffalo Wing Factory in Chantilly (there are other locations, including the original one in Sterling, but I can only speak on Chantilly),
- Foster's Grille (Hamburger Joint, several locations in FFX Co.).

Honestly, if you're open minded there's really no such thing as a bad wing. Spicy fried chicken is the bomb even if you're getting wings from Domino's. This is just my two cents on the best spots.
