Really? Always been great at the beach. Had high hopes for it. What did you order?

Nothing odd. Cheese burger and fries.

The burger came out cold and the fries were chewy. I'm hoping they just need to get the staff up to speed since they just opened. Service was really slow too.

Chipotle is posting ads for new employees. Maybe Boardwalk can poach some of the Mexicans they let go.

Peanut oil is the only way to go when stir-frying if you can get the raw stuff that has not been "denatured". BTW - it is outrageously difficult to find peanut oil that hasn't been denatured; even Asian markets don't carry it very often.

Absolute YUM.

Not quite as healthy (ahem) but WAY delicious is, of all things, lard.

Peanut oil is by far the best for making fries.

Someone said tallow (is that beef lard? Well, whatever beef lard is called - that) makes for fantastic french fries. McDs has gotten in trouble for still using beef fat flavoring in their french fry oil when they dropped the beef fat (in theory) from their frying to make it "vegetarian".

I wanted a wiener and discovered Boardwalk Burgers closed. Permanently. No wieners for me.

You can't denature oil, which is fat.

There's very little protein in restaurant peanut oil, which is extracted through a chemical process as opposed to the foofy poop you might buy at Whole Foods, and only proteins can be denatured, not fats. You do want to make sure they don't saponify the peanut oil.

May 31. Tried is several times. pricey and not that great. I am surprised it lasted as long as it did at that location. Never really busy and same center has subway panerara and papa johns. mcdonalds across the street and also Village Chicken and some other family reataurantplus Asian Grill.

Milanos is in there, pretty good food. Village Chicken is pretty good also, and Asian Grill.

I went once to that Boardwalk and it was not good.

That Papa Johns is not nearly as interesting as the other one discussed extensively on this site, but the pizzas seem to be ok.
