Does anyone else use the Northwest Federal Credit Union? They seem to have some good deals, but I just thinking, what if the CIA gets records of my Internet porn purchases or something?

The CIA technically can't do that. That would be domestic spying. What the reality is I don't know, but they are in place to spy on other countries, not ours. That's what the NSA is for.

I had a problem with one of their ATMs once. I put my card in and did the usual thing, then got this error "network unavailable" and it kicked my card out. So...thinking it might be a temporary thing, I tried again, same error. Two days later I found out that the ATM had debited my account for both transactions, but never dispensed any money. My CU investigated the issue and returned my money...but needless to say, I won't use their ATMs anymore.

i used the northwest atm in chantilly and it did the same thing to me. The contact person for northwest was a bumbling ebonics speaker. ultimately my credit union requested a count of the ATM and then credited back my account. There are better credit unions out there like apple, STFA from NAVY and Fairfax.

Wow...Sounds like their ATMs should be avoided.
