Proposed roads that need to be finished

There are quite a few in this county. For example:

The Braddock Road bridge over I-66.


The Poplar Tree Road bridge over Route 28.


The McLearen-Lawyers Rd bridge over Fairfax County Parkway.

should focus more on upgrading the parkway to the limited access highway it SHOULD be instead of the hillbilly highway it is now

Glouchester Parkway to Nokes, while technically in Loudoun, would still help relieve traffic on 28 down across the county border. Same with some of those Old Ox (606) to Ashburn connections.

Building roads just causes more houses to be built.

If you widen Braddock Road, they will just build more houses in Kings Park, Canterbury Woods, Long Branch, and Red Fox Forest.

There are too many houses there already.

Stop the houses. Don't widen Braddock Road from the beltway to Guinea.

Where in these neighborhoods are they going to build more houses? Those neighborhoods have been built out for 40-50 years.

FCDOT projects should be limited to where fuck ups have little impact like the bike path master plan.

Leave the big projects to the big kids at VDOT.

Why do we need a FCDOT anyway? The people who repair my street and replace signs all drive VDOT trucks.

FCDOT was given $47 million to widen Braddock Road from 6 lanes to 6 lanes plus 1-additional lane in each direction, from I-495 to Burke Lake Road. The project would include intersection improvements such as turn lanes and signalization improvements, as well as pedestrian and bicycle facilities.

The locals only want bike lanes and spot intersection improvements.

One more reason why these decisions should be left to VDOT, not FCDOT.

VDOT are the people who gave us years of traffic fuck ups on the Beltway so we could have under utilized express lanes that profit investors rather than taxpayers. VDOT gave away a long term lease on state owned and state constructed I-95 express lanes as part of another venture that profits investors rather than taxpayers. VDOT is the organization that approved the redesign of the Beltway interchange at Braddock Road which made traffic problems worse on Braddock Road, and they were involved in the lane change fiasco on Braddock Road at Wakefield Chapel. These are the people you want to trust to figure out how to deal with our road problems.

Locals don't want highway based bike lanes any more than automobile drivers. If traffic is heavy enough to justify having a bike lane, then drivers infringe on any non-separated bike path to pass cars in front of them. They also restrict on street parking. Maybe there are some Lance Armstrong wannabes that actually like these highway based bike lanes, but they seem to be something a utopian planner came up with. What locals do want is to make sure whatever improvements are made to benefit those commuters living further out do not seriously inconvenience those living closer in. While you bitch about locals just wanting spot improvements, you'd be happy if they pulled out all the lights between Lake Braddock and the Beltway, cutting off access for those close in neighborhoods to Braddock Road.

I'm guessing that the items that are crossed out in red were taken off or completed?

And is the Rolling Valley Connector Trail the same trail that is under construction between Burke Lake Road and Burke Road?

EVER FUCKING road project i've seen (repaving aside) started during obama is still ongoing - ONLY HIRES ILLEGALS AND BLACKS - they are rarely to be seen on the work sites

AND DURING THE 8 YEARS ALL THAT TIME: RENTED ASIAN HEAVY EQUIPMENT IS ON THE SITE COSTING TAXPAYERS A HELLISH AMMOUNT OF MONEY
