Justin Hughes charged with Felony Hit & Run & Reckless driving
Posted by: Lansdowne VA ()
Date: April 25, 2011 11:38PM

On Friday April 22nd, @ approximately 6:45 PM, Justin David Hughes was headed North bound on Belmont Ridge road after leaving a local bar at the Lansdowne town center, just a 1/2 mile from his residence. Mr. Hughes lost control of his vehicle and crossed the median, striking a minivan headed south bound on Belmont ridge road, seriously injuring both the mother and child. In an attempt to leave the scene, Mr. Hughes again struck the same vehicle a second time and sped through the residential neighborhood of Lansdowne at high speeds. Mr. Hughes was identified by witnesses and was questioned shortly after the incident. Mr. Hughes was formally charged and arrested for Felony Hit & run & Reckless driving on Tuesday, 4/26/2011.

Justin Hughes is a man that is charged with Felony Hit and Run and Reckless Driving. This is relevant to "any other idiot getting arrested in ffx county" because he is "another idiot arrested in ffx county".

Like the above poster said, STFU Dumbass. This Justin Hughes guy deserves his own thread for what he did. Imagine if it was your mother he hit.

It happened in Loudoun Co., not Ffx.

This could be a blessing in disguise.

According to FFU statistics, he has a 99.9% chance of dying as a passenger/driver in an alcohol related car accident from not wearing his seatbelt after boasting how he beat the marijuana charges on his facebook page.

So, when all of his friends start posting about what a great person he was, and what insensitive pricks we are, and how we need to shut up otherwise they're going to fuck us up, and call the internet police and have us arrested and our threads deleted, we can simply point them in the direction of this thread, and viola, we will be vindicated for saying wormfood!

Jennifer,
Do most "nice guys" you know leave bars and drive drunk in their white trash full size pickup truck, crossing 30 foot medians and slam into minivans like your buddy Justin David Hughes? Like Justin, do they then slam into them a 2nd time while fleeing the scene of an accident and then racing through neigbhorhoods at high speeds? If this is your idea of a "nice guy" you have serious "Daddy" issues and are probably a stripper...

FYI - both victims were hospitalized and are still being treated for their injuries.

Is twisted.

Nice guys do not drink and drive. It seems to me you have low standards on morality. It even seems you may have a lot of friends like Justine. You just run around with a lame crowd. If I were you I would make a better choice of friends.

Drinking and driving is selfish. Selfish people are not nice.

Jennifer,
Just because he tips you more than the other guys, doesn't make him a nice guy. It's not just about the drinking and driving, it's about the intent he made when he ran into their minivan a 2nd time trying to get off the median in his raised full sized ford 150 pickup truck. Fleeing the scene of an accident, plowing into them a 2nd time, then driving recklessly through neighborhood streets is much different than just getting behind the wheel after a few drinks and driving the 1/2 mile to his town house from the bar at Lansdowne. Actions speak louder than words, and his actions were a clear indicator of his character or lack there of. Like the other people said, you should pick some better friends...

Look I am sure some of you have made a stupid decision and were lucky enough to avoid such a terrible thing. Fact is he screwed up and got caught and will deal with the consequences. I am not defending his actions I am just saying it could happen tO anybody even you. He isn't a murderer, a rapist or a thief and he obviously fled the scene without thinking which was poor judgment. I am sure you think the Kennedy boys made great decisions over the years.fact is you live and learn. For all we know he could of been on ambien for all we know. The victims were treated for minor injuries just like I did once when I was rear-ended one night while dancing on the floor. It is a common practice to get treated for injuries and yes I feel really bad for the mother and daughter. I am just glad something worse didn't happen. This is obviously a lesson to us all. If he was intoxicated why wasn't he given a breathalyzer. It is a shame this is top news. Shows you how much more evolved people living to DC are.

A mistake is when you lock yourself out of your house while stone cold sober.

This is how it starts, and the gravity of the accidents will increase.
The two people escaped with their lives this time , but next time the innocents might not be so lucky.
Hopefully Justin Hughes will kill himself before he damages anyone else's life.

Why the fuck is this on Fairfax Underground? I don't know who Justin Hughes is or why any of us should care. People fuck up and do stupid shit all the time. Just ask any cop. I'm sure they could tell you some stories that would make you think Justin was just misguided or some other lame shit.

Sounds like someone wants to really ruin Justin's life and came on here trying to destroy his reputation. Really, it looks like he's doing that really well all by himself. He doesn't need anyone's help.

Justin David Hughes may live in Lansdowne, but I guess the fact that Mr. Hughes works for Oracle in Fairfax, VA makes it pertinent for this site.

Should people actually feel sorry for a 30 something year old Justin Hughes for slamming his vehicle into a minivan after leaving a bar a 1/2 mile from his house and injurying a mother and child and then slamming into them again to get away? Who is the victim here? Yes, people make mistakes, but you don't run from them like a coward, you take responsibility for your actions, good or bad.

Earlier this week in Ashburn, A 17 year old driver hit a pedestrian mother and her son at night as they were crossing an intersection when his light was green. The 17 year old had enough character to stay at the scene, and help like any responsible person does. He didn't run away like a coward causing further injury like Justin David Hughes did.

It sounds like some peoples priorities are backwards and they are more concerned about their reputation than being responsible. If you act responsibly, you will have a good reputation, if your are irresponsible, than your reputation will reflect your actions.

I think the reason why Mr. Hughes drunk so much that night was because of his wife. I feel bad for him because his wife, Pilar, is such a big hoe. I know that for sure because she sent me pictures of her in a 2 piece bathing suit. It was shocking when you are talking was strictly business (she is an IT recruiter for Microlink) and send provocative pictures. I didn't even ask for it and she sent me pics that I won't even want to see. I am engaged to a great girl and I don't want to ruin it because of her if she sees those pictures. Mr. Hughes, if your reading this, please keep your wife locked up!

72 days to sentencing! Can't wait. Bets? Jail time? None? 1 year? I mean actual days.

Kind of a weak ass punishment. They should really punish drunk drivers on what COULD have happened. Like Justin could have killed someone so I am thinking push it to a Class 2 on principle.

(e) For Class 5 felonies, a term of imprisonment of not less than one year nor more than 10 years, or in the discretion of the jury or the court trying the case without a jury, confinement in jail for not more than 12 months and a fine of not more than $2,500, either or both.

And for the trolls who would argue people make mistakes and no one is perfect yadda yadda blah blah. You're wrong. I'm perfect. gfys. fuckin trolls.........

It seems to me, at the end of the day, with all that being said, that's not necessary.

Looks like 4 months of weekend jail time and two years probation for a guilty plea. Not sure when he served the 1 year and 8 months, I guess they count the time he managed to stall the trial procedurally as time served. If his lawyer could have only delayed it another 4 months he probably would have walked with just probation - bad lawyer I guess. The listing doesn't specify whether or not he lost his license. Based on the sentence my guess is he's still driving to and from work and most likely riding his bike/jogging to Lansdowne instead of driving to join in for the mid afternoon happy hours.

Rambling "Tweets of wisdom" about forgiveness from a convicted felon at the Leesburg detention center....Here's one Justin Hughes might have missed by Edmund Burke.

"Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it."

Let's hope Justin Hughes doesn't forget about that Easter Friday evening when he drove home from the bar just a 1/4 mile from his townhouse in Lansdowne, VA after drinking
and plowed his pickup truck multiple times into a minivan with a mother and child in a cowardly attempt to get away.

Forgiveness may be a sign of strength, but driving away from the scene of an accident is a sign of a coward.

Funny to read the weekend jail cell tweets about being able to live with and forgive himself....although Hughes is probably only trying to improve his "google" search results....
I mean, why else would anyone have 3 different twitter accounts? Must be trying to push down the links to the Felony conviction and Bankruptcy.

Wow, who Tweets on a Sunday morning at 5AM, and from multiple Twitter accounts?
Justin David Hughes must not have anything better to do on a Sunday morning....
Or could this be another upstanding and dedicated ORACLE employees strategery to boost his
companies attendance at their conference? Marketing genius I tell you...

Twitter-isms from a convicted Felon - Justin David Hughes -

Waxing philosophic twitter-isms from a felon at the jail who wants to share his reformed sense of community or is Justin David Hughes
just trying to put his name on anything that doesn't have to do with the events that caused him to plead guilty to FELONY hit and run or his jail sentence?
At least he will always have his painting business, BRP remodeling, Broad Run Painting, Broad Run Contracting, and Broadrun Painting....
Wait a minute....his business has even more names than he has twitter accounts!

He didn't serve 1 year 8 months. That is the suspended time. He must have served 4 months awaiting bail/bond or trial.

Busy guy...according to this post and his wife Pilar Hughes' webpage, Justin Hughes works at Oracle in Reston, VA, works at broad run painting contracting in Sterling, VA and now serves up bagels in his spare time. Work hard, live well, stay of the road or stop drinking and driving and running into mothers and their children. What a Lugheser.

Mugshot of the 30 something year old that struck a minivan with a mother and her young daughter with his truck after leaving a bar and then struck their minivan again when fleeing the scene of the accident.

Prior to he pleading guilty to a felony probably would have been the best time to deny his involvement. Even Lance Armstrong finally admitted his guilt after how many years of arrogant denial.

And maybe he is just "volunteering" his time at the jail and the "volunteers" wear the same orange jumpsuits as the inmates.

This Justin Hughes person does sound alot like that arrogant, lying, asshole Lance Armstrong. Unfortunately, Justin Hughes sounds like your typical ORACLE employee, probably one of Larry Ellison better ones...or has Microsoft acquired ORACLE...or was it Google...or Apple?

could still go to work...talk about letting some one off easy,
He must of had a great attorney.

Unbelievable this redneck trash might still have a license. You have to be total trailer park trash to drive around in a pick up truck drunk.

SCREENING HOME IMPROVEMENT CONTRACTORS

You'd be better off getting day labors from the 7-11 yourself, that's where all the contractors get their laborers anyway, then mark them up by 2 to 3 times what they're paying them. Some of the contractors are Felons who have worse criminal records than their laborers.

Check the BBB rating.

Fairfax County Police have arrested a Reston man who forced his way into a Reston home Wednesday night, according to Friday’s FCPD crime report.

The burglary incident took place in the 12000 block of Market Street, Wednesday at 11:18 p.m., police said.

The two victims were in their residence and answered a knock at their front door, according to police. The suspect forced his way in, assaulted the victims then fled on foot. One of the victims incurred non-life-threatening injuries.

Responding officers located the suspect and arrested him. Justin Hughes, 42, of Reston, was charged with burglary and two counts of assault.
