He died in a car accident on Fairfax county parkway last night around 1:30ish. Driver was drunk he the passenger. Was ejected from the car as it rolled into a fence on the other side of 7100. Car apparently landed on top of him. He was still alive when people arrived on scene but died VERY shortly after (probably internal bleeding).

The accident was so bad that they shut down part for 7100 (between Fox Mill and West Ox) until sometime after 6AM this morning.



He also got of house arrest in March for his own DUI.

This is why they are enforcing speed limits, seat belts are a requirement, AND driving under the influence is stupid. The fact this douchebag kid just came off HOUSE ARREST tells me he's worthless to society.

Fortunately, only they are victims of their decision and they did not kill innocents bystanders.

That could be the story... I'm hearing everything second hand from an officer who was on scene. I was then told it was Briscoe, but may be wrong.

Please show respect for Jordan and his family. He was not a part of the car accident. Jordan was a college student. He was a popular, athletic kid and loved in his community. He comes from a well respected family. The loss of this young, beautiful life is tragic. Please say a prayer for him, his family and his huge network of friends. praying for the people above who are saying he is worthless or deserved to die. He did get a DUI but that was a long time ago. People make mistakes. He had no part of the accident and was no where near it.

He overdosed at his school and that is all anyone needs to know. Stop talking about it if means nothing to you. You should find something better to do, like I said I am praying for all of you because there is clearly something wrong in your lives too. If not I suggest you seek help.

Consider this: Some of the guy's most recent public statements are about his house arrest for DUI. And it turns out that he died of an overdose.

In light of these facts, can you see how statements about the deceased's "beautiful" and "promising" life might seem a little overblown to those of us who didn't know the guy?

Jordan Briscoe was a great person and fuck all of you who talk shit towards him. Sure he made a few mistakes, but who doesn't make mistakes in life. Also he didn't die in a car/drunk driving accident... he was on a new sleeping medication given by his doctor and you are not supossed to consume alcohol while on it.Very unfortunately he, like the majority of college kids, drank alcohol on a saturday night (while on the new medication)and when he fell asleep he didn't wake up. He attended a local university. The officials at the university are only saying in campus email that it was an "untimely passing" and that he passed away on Saturday.
There are no details as to the cause.

Jordan's parents held him as a newborn babe in awe and in tears of joy. Your parents did the same, thankful that their child was healthy and alive and hopeful that he would live a full life and maybe someday bring his own children into the world.

Dear sad mother,
We just got an official notice today via email. It simply mentioned his passing and his hometown.
ODU has a large number of students as you know, but the lose of any student is a loss to all of us. I suspect there will be a memorial for him on campus soon.
I work closely with students all the time and can't imagine if one were to suddenly be gone. It's the same way I feel about my own kids.
I haven't met a bad student on this Campus in ten years. I can honestly say anyone of them is inspiring and corageous for all the hard work they must endure to achive their goals.
Jordan will be missed, I'm sure he did have many friends here, I'm glad he had the chance to experience ODU and enjoy our campus and make all those friends who will never forget him.
Rejoice in his life.

NORFOLK

A fourth man has died as a result of a weekend crash along Interstate 64.

Jarrell L. Rainey, 21, of Newport News died Monday night in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Virginia State Police said today.

The four men were going east shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday and were near Chesapeake Boulevard when their car ran off the road and went into a ditch, police said.

Clarence R. Hill of Norfolk and Terrell D. Cherry of Newport News both died at the scene. Both were 22. Brian C. Hermann, 21, of Newport News died at the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.

---This was the same night there was a lot of rain...paper did not say anything about drinking and driving. I don't know them but i wanted to clear this up.

People know very well that this is NOT the place to post any sort of "memorial", "R.I.P.", or "shout out to my deceased home-boy", thread. You're GUARANTEED to find the thread full of jokes and gallows humor. And why shouldn't it be? Most people here don't know the deceased and you're dumb enough to be posting it in a forum that is KNOWN for its humor, sarcastic wit, and making light of things.

In short, it's not the fault of the people posting jokes, it's YOUR fault for being enough of an asshole to think that this would be a GOOD place to start a thread eulogizing your dead friend, PARTICULARLY if that friend died as a result of his/her own stupidity, or committing an act that could have easily hurt/killed other innocent people. If you want sympathy for your drunk, drugged, on probation, or other criminal tendency possessing friend then this is NOT the place to try and get it.
