Yup,

I think I read somewhere that this station is the most expensive Gas station in the country.

I think that that Exxon has a contract with like secret service, etc

so they jack up the rates since gov. pays the tab anyways

There is a Sonoco 1/2 block away with gas 75cents less. Still relatively expensive though.

True statment. I only go into DC a couple times a year and immediately knew where that picture was from.

Though to be fair, it favors people who use 66 as their entry/exit into DC vs 395 or anywhere in Maryland.

A contract that says they will buy their gas at that station no matter what price Exxon is charging? That doesn't sound right.

Actually, that sounds exactly right.

Most Fed cars fuel up at the PX at the Pentagon or Bolling AFB.

I can only imagine the RFP soliciting that kind of bid...

"Please send us a proposal, but don't include any pricing, because we'll just pay whatever you're charging on any given day, even though that defeats the purpose of having a contract in the first place."

You want them to modify the pricing at the pump for 3-4 fill ups a day? Please.

3-4 fill ups a day would likely fall under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, thus, no contract necessary. They'd probably just be paying with a commercial purchase card. I seriously doubt they'd solicit bids and put a contract in place if they were simply going to go out and pay retail price anyway.
