Such a dumb argument. Those illegal's that work (most of them) have payroll taxes and federal and state withholdings from their paycheck just like you and I. There is no difference and in fact a large majority pay their taxes and don't get their refunds, or use Federal services (less they get caught) so they are actually a net plus from the tax equation.

Also, Employers who pay cash are still responsible for the taxex on the money they pay out, as they have no way to write it off of the gross income for the business.

That's right. I hired two illegals to lay a walkway between my porch and driveway last fall. Although I paid them cash, I told them I was withholding a part of what I WOULD HAVE PAID THEM because I needed to forward it to the US Treasury. They both said "okie dokie."

Tom, I'm pretty sure you missed Reality's point. What many illegals do is use a real SSN, provided by either a willing accomplice or an identity theft victim, to evade detection. Thus, they have taxes withheld from their earnings.

Valid point. Yes, I suppose they could under-report gross income. They could also cook the books in a number of different ways; Fake write-offs etc etc.

The bigger problem is how much of their take home is sent back to "their" country. It is not spent in our marketplace and therefore detrimental to our economy.

So these illegals aren't using social services? They're not going to hospitals? They're not driving on roads? They're not having the cops called for domestic issues? They're not putting their kids in school? They're receiving any benefits from living in the US?

These illegals are underpaying taxes, receiving free benefits, and then sending tons of money out of the country and failing to pay gift taxes on it.

Actually Jose.. they are not using our social services, 99% of our social services programs in the US.. illegals are not elligible for! If they have their green card then they are, but then they are not illegal anymore. I was involved in an accident with one of your so called innocent illegals..The Illegal rear ended me, and was drunk at 1:30 in the afternoon...guess who is stuck with thousands of dollars in medical bills? not to mention loss of work and a messed up back?.. So the bill that just passed Maryland last week that allows in state tuition for undocumented students was a figment of my imagination? California passed a law allowing them access public schools back in the 90s. I could cite more but this would be the equivalent of explaining that grass is indeed green.

Love them or that them, all I have said is that they do indeed use our tax funded resources. Montano was charged with DUI and involuntary manslaughter.

This is actually Montano’s third DUI arrest in Prince William County over the last five years. At the time of the crash, the illegal alien was free on bond while awaiting deportation proceedings.

Most (if not all) countries have rules on immigration, visas, etc. This is not a racist thing. It is a protectionist thing. Protection of the economy and jobs for the population that they have. This is what is going on right now. We have many people out of work. The problem is that many people have become very wealthy by having these illegals here---not paying them decent wages, no benefits for health care, not paying taxes, etc. You can say what you want about green cards, etc., but the fact is that many of them have worked "under the table". Certain people have made money by having them here. And, yes, many of these "guest workers" intend to go back to their countries with their money or send their money back there from here. This is the very reason that countries limit immigration and want to keep track of it (not have it "illegally happen").

That said, yes, these people have done jobs that people here do not want at wages that people here would not accept. They probably have a lot to do with the decline of labor unions and more jobs here that do not offer benefits and a "living wage". Of course this is going to "tick off" the middle class (who see themselves losing ground on a seemingly daily basis). They feel that they are paying for these people from two sides---taxes and a loss of good jobs. The employer and wealthy classes love this situation. The middle class needs to take this country back. The middle class watches as their schools decline, their health care costs go sky high, their retirement is uncertain, Medicare is on edge, etc., etc. Soon the "illegal" situation will resolve itself since there will be no growth here and no jobs for them.

Montano is currently being held without bond at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail.

A list of a of few Montano’s offenses follows:

- April 2009…he was arrested for driving without a license and convicted in June.

-October 2008…he was stopped for driving 55 in a 35 mph zone, and was found to have a .17 blood alcohol level. Montano was sentenced to three years probation and his driver’s license was suspended.

-December 2007…he was arrested for being drunk in public.

-July 2007…he was charged with DUI and convicted later that same year.

Though Immigration and Customs enforcement ordered Montano to be deported in March 2009, he continued to have run-ins with the law, and remained free.

All kidding aside, in order to have effective governance, the population being governed needs to be regulated, known, and accounted for. Without the regulation, identification,and accounting of the population, we cannot properly apportion resources or the the burden of paying for resources. We cannot decide who should represent the people and without an accounting (meaning regulated citizenship), those representing the people cannot determine who the majority is or what the majority wants.

Without regulating immigration, we simply cannot have orderly and equitable government or an equitable distribution of resources and the cost of resources. Regulating immigration means deporting people and denying services so as to discourage future illegal immigration, no matter how "unfair" it may seem and regardless of the circumstances.
