That will be a pretty big senior center. Will the seniors be able to make it up that hill? Won't that asbestos problem still be unhealthy for seniors? I thought the place was not a good environment (?) Won't they have to spend money putting grab bars in the bathrooms, putting in ramps, etc.?? Won't they still have to maintain it (and it sounds hard and expensive to maintain)?? This does not sound like a money saving idea. I guess it's okay for the seniors to be in that selfish elitist atmosphere? Won't they get even more whiny about their Social Security and prescription drug benefits? Now they have to have a senior center too? Will there be an Alzheimer's unit there? What will the staffing ratio be? This sounds like it could turn into an elitist club for Clifton.

again, what selfish, elitist atmosphere are you talking about?

You got any proof of this "atmosphere" or are you just talking shit out yr ass?

Clifton ppl may be richie-richs (smiling @ you, herewegoagain LoLz) , but I've yet to meet a straight-up asshole when I've been there.

So tell us - WTF are you talking about? Or are you just jealous of them?

Jealousy is running rampant today. Dell ave; Isnt that right in Clifton town? Some of the not so grand homes are on that street.

I've been in love with that house at the corner of Main and Dell for decades, now.

if someone wanted me to get cancer just cause of the way they THOUGHT I was looking at them.....................well, you honestly dont sound too nice a person saying something like that.

I'll give you props for being a good enough parent to attend back-to-school night in the face of what you feel is such adversity..............but darn-it, what you are "feeling" as stuck-up prick parents (who havent said a thing to you about your car, now have they?) may all just be in yr head, my friend.

You'll feel better about yrself trading that car in, or decking it out. Brand new Sonatas are only 199/mo, y'know?

Okay....

SO, what are the differences between a Crevanna Oaks kid and a Clifton kid who both have class in a trailer at Fairview?

1) Clifton Kid already has a College Education Fund
2) Crevanna kid already has a criminal record
3) Clifton kids will never again step foot inside a trailer after graduation from FCPS
4) Crevanna kids will have "Done Something" if the can afford to buy a trailer of their own someday

Please help keep us on topic and add to the list

First trailer was just delivered. Being installed now by way of the lower parking lot. Anyone know what class(es) are moving out there?

Fairview parents should be pissed at the SB. They were told they had room for more kids without adding trailers. Once a trailer is placed it stays. The FCPS spends so much money on them that they always stay.

Can someone tell us the real reason they closed Clifton? Please no BS answer. Oh wait, I forgot. The SB never gave a Real reason for closing Clifton.

Now were all screwed.

You take all the fun out of a little frindly trolling. Fairfax family lived in that house for years, not sure who lives there now.

@ Dell Ave: I know, right? I'm like a grey cloud on a sunny day :)

anywho, I was dead serious about getting new wheels - will make you feel a LOT better about yrself

and if ppl really are judging you by what you drive, they are bigger a-holes than even I am (LoLz)

but remember, nobody said life was fair. It's a bitch.......and you should fuck it as such ;)

He always loved that about me. He had a shit car in medical school. Now he can drive whatever car he wants but drives a mid range car. We laugh at people who judge others by their car. We have saved a lot and live a great life.

I don't mind people who drive cars that cost a lot. I just think they should only buy them in cash. You know you are wealthy when you can pay cash for just about anything.

most ppl with really nice cars are compensating for lack of............well I'll leave that up to you to decide :)

some ppl just like having nice stuff. Those are the ppl that are NOT going to be judgemental to you drivng a POS, though.

Losta nice, rich ppl in the county - they have $$$$$ but arent dicks about it.

And yeah, there are those who have to show they have and ATM ass - stuck up aholes that they are. Cant really do anything about if, since it's Fairfax County, y'know?

LoLz

either way, to attack the kids because of what the parents are like - that's uncool.

and to get back on topic, judging the ENTIRE SCHOOL OF CHILDREN based on what you think their parents act like - that's insane.

if that's what's fueling this school closure, then something is VERY wrong.

Most of the parents are cool and laid back. I think we all love the feel of our community school. I am sure the next school will be good but I am so sad Clifton is closing. Too bad FCPS does not know what a gem they have. They should just look at our test scores since that is all they care about.

Thanks for letting me feel sorry for myself. I feel better now.
