I think you need to get a lawyer (end of advice.)

I noticed that you got a lot of responses from underemployed teachers and other state and local administrators who don't really care about the law or social justice. Don't take them seriously. Many of them have important sounding titles but few of them make over 6 figures; they just want you to respect them. If it were possible, most of them would time warp back to 1933 Germany - the good old days when gov't administrators ran the country efficiently.

If you get a lawyer and they don't get you off, I think you should "own" your reckless driving conviction. Slick back your hair, get a leather jacket and wear it over a white t-shirt; swagger when you walk. Also break/damage as much public property in Fairfax as possible until you feel a sense of balance. Since you are a speedster, consider doing it in a car. You would be shocked how satifying it is to "floor it" on the lawn in front of a public building or in a community park. Bottom line: exceptional people and sociopaths break laws with a sense of moral impunity. You are either unexceptional (bend over); sociopathic (weirdo) or exceptional (like me). If you are anything like me you won't fight it. Just redirect your frustration to even the balance with Fairfax Country on your own terms.

What I found when the police clock your speed via "pacing", they charge you with the speed THEY were going to catch up to you. That is pacing.. lol

Basically - you better have video of you *not* speeding - because this places the officer's word against yours in court. Hmm.. I wonder what the judge will do?

The judge will give you a chance to get a lawyer.. if you are facing jail time, they should screen you for a public defender if you cannot afford a lawyer. You will know right then if you are facing jail time - the judge will tell you prior to entering any pleas'

102 being paced??! You always have to look around you when driving fast. You have to know your enemy. Primarly crown vics, chargers, and impalas.

diyh3.jpg Crown vic headlights are very easy to spot so are chargers. Impalas are the most difficuly imo but i can still spot them within 500ft. Once you get good you can spot a crown vic headlight way in advance.

06_charger_headlight.jpg The 2 large lights inside the big square casing make it easy to spot chargers, the only problem a lot of civilians own them.

KNOW THE ENEMY!

Look for the lights on either side of the top brake light.

Also check for lights where the sun visors are.

I can usually pick them out by the big flashing red and blue lights goin off all over them.

If I'm not sure, I look for the headlights alternatively flashing on each side.

And if they're lights-off in stealth mode, I look for them in handicapped parking spaces.

In Virginia most police cars seem to have the alloy wheels. I don't think I've ever seen a VSP or Fairfax County Police car (I'm excluding the SUVs and trucks), with steel wheels.

Ahh, the old "I need a continuance" aka "judge shopping" shuck and jive from his attorney. Good. That will bring that case a little closer to the other two traffic charges he has to face on July 26. He got nailed with those subsequent to the reckless charge. Ol' Sajjad isn't the brightest.

That is hilarious.

So, in addition to his 102/55 and window tint violations, he has been subsequently ticketed for:

1) FAIL TO OBEY HIGHWAY SIGN on 6/7/2011

and

2) FAIL TO CARRY/EXHIBIT LICENSE on 6/7/2011

What a class act!

It's called reckless driving by speed: http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+46.2-862. Personally, you obviously have no business whatsoever driving a motor vehicle because you are putting everyone, including yourself, at risk when you are. Usually, if you are that far above, you can expect to do the previously aforementioned days in jail, and have your license in VA revoked for a substantial period of time. In this case, I wouldn't be surprised if your license is suspended for at least two months. Oh, and in case you try to drive on a revoked license, the police can stop you, issue you another class 1 misdemeanor for driving on a revoked license, and SEIZE your car. I would do it in heartbeat if I stopped you. Oh, and enjoy the -6 points on your license, and the huge increase you are about to see in your car insurance premium. Obey the rules fucktard, and you will have no problem! Enjoy your stay!

102 isnt really that fast, you should search the video about a cop that paced a guy in emporia va it was a bs ticket he got it dropped. Did he pace you and confirm with radar (i/o) instant on. I have seen most other vsp do this they will pace my rabbits then shoot them with instant on radar to confirm the speed. My detectors will alert to a brief ka alert (i/o). VSP seem to use products from kustom signals eagle 2 or other kustoms products. I have seen out of tune guns used that would be one thing to bring up e.x 35.5 ka guns shooting at 35.1 ive seen this myself by ffx co. Below is probably exactly what happened to you. You can see its even a va state tropper! (in the speed/radar/laser community a rabbit is a unprotected speeder, we use rabbits to catch i/o radar or laser scatter.)

VSP are a tricky crew, ive seen them do everything. I/O radar, laser, pace, rear radar/laser. You really have to watch your self if your going at speeds. When i do long distance runs at high speeds i have plent of countermeasures but your eyes are your best countermeasure. I have my setup my eyes + a friend looking around for anyone pacing vascar lines ahead. To date no speeding tickets. (knock on wood).
Good luck!

Well in va since 2005 over 90 can get you 30 days. Here is the stupidity in our system and my experience. Long story short i was on my bike getting off 66 to 495s as the first merge starts lady in front of me merges and i continue to also merge. The lady realizes that traffic is moving faster than her and merges into me and nearly pushes me into the jersey wall, i fown shift 2 gears and get myself away from her. A cop heard my bike not actually sering what happened and ticketed me for 100/55 claiming after he heard me he paced me from 8 cars back. Being a 22 yo on a sportbike i got 2 weeks in ffx. Best part is some guy says hey why are you here and for how long. I redpond 2 weeks for speeding how about you? He had 2 weekends for selling 2oz of weef to an undercover cop twice. Great system we have in ffx...sell drugs two weekends...flee for your life due to stupidity of others 2 weeks. For wuotes like this it annoys me because 3/4 of drivers in nova should not be allowed to drive...all i learned at 22 was never pull over again on the bike sounds dumb but im clear from alot of bs.

Its basically a guilty plea. You are pleading guilty without admitting guilt. Essentially youre saying you dont want to admit you did it, but you admit that they have enough evidence to convict you of the offense

Research before you type, you do HALF of your misdemeanor time. He was sentenced to "6" days which means he did 3...probably a little less than that. So everyone here made a big stink about this guy and he did 3 freakin days, probably didn't even make it to population, get a life some of you people. Look in the mirror before you judge.

For 3 days he would have stayed at ADC and it really would have only been like 2 days since they count the first night and let you out before the end of the 3rd

I got caught doing 100 in a 55 with a horrendous driving record. The system milked me for 5 grand in lawyer and court fee's. I got offered a single day in jail and took a 100 hours of community service instead. I had money in those days and did not want to go to jail. Looking back on it now I would of taken that day and saved a couple grand early on.

I got a slight reckless in Loudoun once in which I represented myself. This was when I was a teenager. I went in there like a pro. The cop was pleading with the judge not to let me off but it was too late. He was under my spell by that point. I actually threw my hands up and told the honor I was a good guy at one point. Loudoun isn't crazy on driving infractions like Fairfax. I was scared shitless and no one there understood why. Because I've been conditioned in Fairfax.

I tend to agree and disagree. While I don't think going 92 in a 55 is good, I still would rather be on the road with someone going 92 in a sedan than some idiot in a giant gas guzzler, not to mention some idiot in a giant gas guzzler texting, not to mention some idiot in a giant gas guzzler texting while looking backwards screaming at their out of control little brats. If we really want to make the roads safer we will get idiots in gas guzzlers of off them and require permits that express some special need more allowing people to get some oversized gas guzzler that truly puts everyone's life in danger for no reason.

Your dumb ass should be in jail. I'll bet that you have other speeding tickets before this. I hope the judge suspends your license.

Yer Screwed. Although, my father got my best friend off for doing 95/55. There might be a little hope. He received no jail time and only lost his license for a month I believe.

Dude, you are just a little late on your comment since this happened almost 2 years ago. Dumbass.

Some practical advise to help you cut down on or avoid jail time. My kid got a 97/55 a few years ago. Spouse and I are both attorneys. Here is what we did. Kid got no jail time, $500 fine with $400 suspended and $75 court fees, so we only paid $175, and 50 hours community service.

1. Turn in your license to the DMV today. Voluntarily agree to a six month or even a one year suspension. It's going to happen anyway but if you do it yourself and acknowledge your mistake, the judge will look favorably upon you. Plus, your record will reflect a voluntary surrender as opposed to a suspension, which will help with insurance rates later.

2. Immediately sign up for and complete a driver safety course. You're going to have to do it anyway, so sign up and do it before you go to court. Again, the judge will look favorably upon this.

3. When you get to court, do not try to obfuscate, deny or make up excuses. Admit that you did something foolish and dangerous and express how deeply regretful you are. State that you recognize the error of your ways and have voluntarily surrendered your license and have taken a driver safety class (assuming you have actually done these things). If you are an adult with a job or school, ask that if you must serve jail time, it be on weekends so that you can maintain your employment or school.

4. Arrange for some community service. Find a local charity that you would actually enjoy helping. If you can, get one of their reps to come to court with you and ask that you be made to do your community service for that charity. That way you avoid some of the worse ones, like cleaning highwaysin an orange jumpsuit.

DO NOT state that you "need" your license. The judge has heard every excuse in the book. If you don't turn it in, you will lose it and the judge might give you a longer suspension.

Take your lumps. You will riding the bus and bumming rides from friends for 6 months to a year.

You don't need a lawyer to do all this.

Pretty ballsy advice. I doubt if he'll take it, but nice post!

If he doesn't take it, he will get handed far worse from the judge. People think they are special and that they "need" to drive. Driving is a privilege, not a right. People seem to forget that. We came down hard on our kid and did not let the kid get the license back for 9 months, 3 more than what we promised the judge. Kid never did anything that foolish again.

My son was caught doing 102 in a 55mph zone in Fairfax county in Virginia. long story short, he was jailed for 2 days, fined $117 and license suspended for 6 months in Virginia. He has a maryland license so he has to check in 30 days to see if the information from Virginia will transfer to Maryland to affect his license. He was represented by a lawyer but the Prosecuter was a hard ass and would not budge after the plea agreement was presented. The Judge was lenient and most people got off with a small fine and no jail time, but their reckless consisted of a lower speed from 70mph to 90mph. I was upset initially because this was my son's first offense and he is a well behaved boy. He was the best dressed defendant in the court room that day, presented his driver improvement course certificate, his odometer calibration papers and his clean driving records, but that did not help his case. I am no longer upset(5 days later) because I came to the realization that my son broke the law and should face the consequences and I also believe that he would be a more defensive driver from now on. I was told that 6 points would be assessed to his drivers license and this would be on his record for 11 years. He is on our insurance policy so we have to wait to see how this will affect our premium, my Agent mentioned that they may drop us when they find out. I just have to wait and see what happens......so for all you a young people, please slow down. I was an emotional wreck when I had to leave the court house without my son, I cried all the way home.....this was the first time my boy ever got in trouble in 19 years.

Hopefully, you son learned a lesson from this and he will SLOW DOWN! You are lucky you are not having a closed casket funeral for him, because if he wrecked at that speed, there would be pieces of him all over his car and the highway that would be scooped up and placed in red bio hazard bags and delivered to the medical examiners office! The Medical Examiner's office would call you and ask you to bring down a toothbrush or hairbrush so they can identify him through DNA because his body was so badly mangled in the accident. I've seen what speed does in accidents and its not pleasant by any means!

If you son is 19, you probably should do yourselves and favor and get him off of your insurance now. You are really lucky he did not kill somebody when he was driving that recklessly! But it will probably happen in the future!

I have a lawyer that will charge you between $3500 dollars and $5000 to stay out of jail.

You may have to do some community service. If you're not willing to pay then just take it like a man.

You'll get through it. Just you know try to negotiate it down to 2 or 3 days if you have a cheap attorney.

If it's more time than that there's always the chance your cherry gets popped while you're in there. The decisions you make in preparation your court date will be crucial to the probability of penetration.

Good luck.

LOL @ all you loser ass hating turtle looking idiots. I did two weekends for the 102, 6 months loss of license, and a little fine. Did I learn my lesson YES but the fact that when I was locked up everyone was in there for drug charges or DWI they would laugh when they would hear why I was there(so I altered my story, said I lead cops on a car chase haha). And all theses idiots talking about dont drop the soap STFU because your the ones who would want it in the ass nasty ass mofo. It's nothing like that, not saying its easy but it's nothing like these dumbass people make it sound. And as far as the driving on Suspended got it dropped. In this courrapt ass country money can buy your freedom. Cops, lawyers, judges, and court system is all courrapt. It's funny how in my first court date they wanted 30 days and on the second 15 days and finally 6 days it's all a JOKE. I still drive steady at 100mph so all you idiots can suck it haha just playing I've learned my lesson now it's not worth putting other people's life in danger let alone your own life. You have to make mistakes to learn from them easy said then done.

You should drive 103mph to northern Virginia community college ASAP to sign up for remedial English classes. Damn, you are a sorry excuse for a half breed.
