Hoffman Building

Hello all,

I have a job offer to work at the Hoffman Building in Alexandria. I have never been there, so I'm wondering if anyone else here has had any experience with it. I would be commuting from the Fair Oaks area.

Pros and Cons?

The drive is a MF (beltway). The metro is long, Parking seems cheap.

Pro: The tapestries and murals on the walls and ceiling provide a pleasant, relaxed work environment. Culturally speaking, it's one of the best places in the world.

Con: Angry hornets.

Good luck on your new job. Your options are hell.

1. Drive to Vienna Metro...get there early for your $3 or so parking..take orange line to Rossyln, switch to Blue line towards Arlington Cemetary....change to Yellow line at King Street...get off at Eisenhower Ave...then short walk to work.

2. Better: Drive it: 66 to 495 S, to 95 N, get off at Telegraph Road N..almost to work. If you are a morning person, get going early as this is likely your best way to get to Alexandria. (can use PKWY to Bradock to 236 if you can't handle the Highway)

3.Better than Metro: Take FFX Co PKWY South and drive to Burke Centre VRE. Take VRE to King Street, and walk, take Yellow Metro, or local bus to Hoffman BLDG.
