DISCONNECT Verizon!!! NOW! Anyone else?

My phone line has been cut off three times, my yard dug up, neighbors cars broke into, and the bonus of speaking to a recording to press "numbers" on hold, with no customer service, on site workers that don't have a clue, supervisors that hide in trucks and drive around and around the block, OR Workers that show up on Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. and claim the problem is inside the house for the third time. This is CRAP!

Best one yet from a trouble shooting "top notch" Verizon employee, "Are you calling from the problem phone line?" NO< I am calling from my cell phone!!!!

We must have some rights. Show up, destruction & leave!!!!! I will NEVER buy FIOS, ever! THE system will be outdated soon and with any luck VERIZON will go under from the risky investment.

Yeah, well I've been up and been down, town to town with several brands,
Then tortured for ten long years by verizon, agents and the supervisor man, and some bandwagon fans.
It's time to stand up, fight back, be proud and once again be free,
So if you want a piece of me, come and get it!

Yeah, really!

That alone, makes the entire post/subject, suspect at best, in my book.

Car(s) broken into, line "cut," etc. Proof? Doubtful.

I guess they do not realize that fiber, just like copper wires, is nothing more than a pipeline. It is the EQUIPMENT on either end that is the "real" technology. Fiber is just a more efficient pipeline.

Fiber that only VERIZON can use. Selling your soul and going to the dark side. At least with copper, other carries can use and we have choices. ONce you switch good luck. And Verizon would be the only company with the so called "technology" HA!

Cut line was an expression. Service turned off with Verizon technology.

So, what are you bitter about? No fios in your area? :)

I have had it for a month, and FIOS kicks ass.

But you can always use Starpower, they still offer dial up!

Blazing fast 47K.

I have fios and it works just fine. There will always be problems when new lines are installed in your area. Get over it.

Actually....Wireless is what will out date Fiber to home.... We're not far from it.....Cox has looked into it...to expensive at the moment but we're not far from it.

When i say wireless, it means you will be given a box or card that will work like a router and wireless receiver which will pick up the data from the "like router" comm devices on the power lines ..........Cox will most likely work on providing more HD channels once they get rid of analog channels.

How is wireless slow?

"The EV-DO Rev. B standard supports up to 4.9 Mbps in each channel for a combined three-channel data speed of up to 14.7 Mbps on the downlink"

Thats pretty fast, if you ask me. Considering its wireless
