How are you a step up the evolutionary ladder? If anything, the only reason people with Asperger syndrome are able to survive is the fact functional, normal humans care for them. If this was a survival of the fittest world, you and all the other mentally disabled people would be kicked in a ditch and left to starve.

I have Aspergers Syndrome. It's a real disorder on the autistic spectrum. The reason why some Aspie's may joke (just joke peoples) that we are the next step in evolution is because most Aspie's usually have a higher than normal IQ.

I think on a sidenote the reason the Urban Dictionary definition states, "Symptoms include mediocre artistic and web-design skills, affection for emo, self-pity." is mainly because from my experience a thing called depression. Depression is almost twined with Aspergers, so I can grasp the joke/troll in this Urban Dictionary post.

Depression is NOT emo however, emos make depression look like some form of a joke involving inverted mullets. Yet I get called emo all the fookin time, because hey; I'm depressing, and depression is apparently a joke now...

And lastly, research Aspergers a little people.. We're not mentally disabled in any way, just introverted and a little awkward from my experience/everylivingsecondofmylife.
