Fireside Grill - Lorton Station

Fireside Grill, not a bad place. The place was virtually empty on this Thursday night.
Service was better than avg., although I have had better (friendlier) svc. at its sister resturaunt, Hopsfrog Tavern in Burke Centre.
The potroast was amazing. No knife needed. The mushrooms were flarvorful and portins about right. Lobster bisque was better than a salad for about the same $$$.
I have to go back and try their Sunday brunch.
Just an FYI on this place. Parking was great - lots of space around back.

Received good reviews in Post. Expensive, however. I like Hopsfrog. You cannot top their tavern burger. Same owner. Best lobster bisque at Coastal Flats. Best Caesar salad at Outback. But I admit I'm not a gourmet.

FIRESIDE GRILL ATMOSPHERE IS LIKE THE OLD HOWARD JOHNSON'S CAFETERIA. COLD SLICE OF CRAPPY BREAD, FOOD SUCKED.
DON'T GO...PRICES ARE SILLY FOR THE FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE.

I finally went to Hopsfrog and was completely underwhelmed....a burger at Friendly's next door is as good, if not better.
I'm going to quit looking for a better burger...Ribster's in Annandale is where it's at. And the best slaw I''ve ever 'et in my life...

Hopsfrog in Burke blows. Went there for brunch and, like this writer, was underwhelmed? Didn't realize the owner also owned firehouse grill. The one time I went there for drinks, I thought it was ok.

If you are looking for a burger, this may not be the place. But if you want a very nice dinner in a very relaxed environment, this is one of two great new restaurants in the Lorton area.
The other is Pane e Vino, an Italian restaurant that is great.
Two very good reasons to eat out in Lorton for dinner.

Does anyone know how the brunch is at Fireside Grill?
I have been to the one at Pane e Vino and it is one of the best. Great selections, great fresh made pastas, and GREAT pastries. Highly recommended.
