And teacher endorsed. Why would teachers want the headache of over-over crowded classrooms of non english speaking students? They already complain about paying for supplies out of their own pockets, now they will be buying the PW immigrants supplies as well.

Connolly is finished. He apparently doesn't keep in touch with the times. He really screwed up on this issue, and come election day he'll be in for a shocker.

Agree. He lost me with statements quoted in the Post. Also, believe there are some unanswered questions about the appearance of impropriety with his SAIC job.

I cultivate about an acre of veggies in Clifton...do you think Baise can help me get a few thou in federal farm subsidies?

Seems he's done pretty well (300 grand) for himself....

Has anyone ever noticed how the Board of Supervisor has named streets and buildings after themselves? The Massey Building, The Pennino Building, Jack Herrity Parkway, etc.

Several posts have alluded to or stated something about Mr. Connolly's "Felony Hit/Run DWI accident." Is this true? What was the outcome? This allegation may NOT be the one not to vote for him. Double negatives must mean that it is. I won't vote for him based upon his "welcome mat for illegal aliens" and supporting a policy not to identify criminal illegal aliens... I'm anxiously awaiting the GMU student's summary of his meeting with Mr. Connolly. I hope that's reported before November 6th.

Had it not been for Jack Herrity's vision of the Fairfax COunty Parkway, there would not be one.

We would still be going up Pohick Rd. to Rt 123, to Braddock Rd, Shirley Gate and then a left onto Rt 50 - then up 28 to get to the north end of the county.


No thanks, been there, done that.


Jack Herrity once asked me if folks would remember what he did for this county. I said I remembered - he said he hoped there were more out there. Sadly, he passed away before a "big comeback" in politics - Hopefully his son will pick up and continue!
