This is pretty funny, some irate senior citizen took a hammer into the Manassas Comcast office and scared the shit out of people!

Everything I've ever read about Comcast indicates that they suck. I'm inclined to believe the hammer was justified. What they need is a little competition.

I have to disagree. I have had Delphia, COX and Comcast. While Comcast has almost always been late, their service and digital has been great. Cox was the worst, service dropped in out all the time, always a day late, charges screwed up. Delphia would rank second worst.

I certainly don't blame the lady with the hammer. A lot of these cable companies figure since they own the cable lines they can do whatever they want. All of the cable compaines need to step up their customer support!

She only did what I have felt like doing sometimes. Ive never had Comcast, but
when I wind up talking to Ranjeesh in Bombay about a technical problem here in
Fairfax, I want to reach through the phone and whack him upside the head.
For English, press (1), For Espanol, press (2), For Vietnamese, press (3), For
Arabic, press (4), etc....etc...."Preez sta on rine an a cutomah suvis weel bee

Becha Comcast management had a discussion after the Manassas incident on how
they could improve their customer service.

Manassas is old-school Comcast, and has always been notorious for poor service and draconian network admins. There's a huge difference between that and the ex-Adelphia Comcast units, and even differences between the old Adelphia units too; Loudoun's ex-Adelphia-now-Comcast is horrible, but Fauquier's isn't too bad, and it's a damn sight better than what I had with Media General/Cox. From everything I heard about the Comcast Manassas office, "hammer time" was clearly justified.

Comcast blocks some Internet traffic

By PETER SVENSSON, AP Technology Writer 1 hour, 50 minutes ago

NEW YORK - Comcast Corp. actively interferes with attempts by some of its high-speed Internet subscribers to share files online, a move that runs counter to the tradition of treating all types of Net traffic equally.

The interference, which The Associated Press confirmed through nationwide tests, is the most drastic example yet of data discrimination by a U.S. Internet service provider. It involves company computers masquerading as those of its users.
