Haunted Fairfax

I didn't grow up here, so I always feel like I missed out on the local urban myths and the like. Anyone know of supposed haunted spots in Fairfax?

More About the Bunny Man

From another site for "fun" Fairfax activities:

Debunk the Bunny Man

Bunny Man Bridge
Colchester Road
Fairfax Station

This suburban legend — involving, among other things, the ghost of an escaped convict and a vandal in a rabbit costume terrorizing the neighborhood — dates back to 1904. So is there a ghostly Bunny Man haunting the one-lane cement covered bridge in Fairfax Station?
Some folks swear the bridge (and, for that matter, most of Clifton) is haunted. Recently, a historian for the Fairfax County Public Library published an essay that claimed the legend was nothing more than rumors that spread after some guy in a bunny suit in the 1970s decided to scare the locals and dabble in some vandalism.
The bridge is frequently visited by curious locals around Halloween.

I saw the Bunnyman stuff earlier, and was wondering what else I was missing out on in the local lore.

Haven't seen another specific thread, want to be helpful and provide a link?

I am here to speak for many of the ghosts and poltergeists in the nova area. Many of us are here to haunt cary for the many acts of molestation that he has committed against children in the area. Just as convicts like to get a hold of a kid toucher in prison, we in the spirtual world also like to do what we can to even the score with those that take advantage of youngsters. If you have any other questions, let me know. I am the official spokesghost for the region.

Thanks ass!

The search show nothing for ghosts, haunted, or similiar words. The only discussion has been on the Bunnyman Legend. There really has to be more urban legends than that in an area this large.

If you are interested in the Bunnyman legend, it did have some small bit of fact according to this http://www.co.fairfax.va.us/library/branches/vr/bunny/bunny.htm

Yes, the Bunnyman has it's own thread here. I started it to show some pictures and explain everything after I did the same for Midgetville. The livejournal entry is still up.

Livejournal Posting

I'm hoping to clean it up soon and put it on this site under articles.

I like this shit about the Bunnyman. Some nut-case runs around in a bunny outfit before getting locked up in the 1970s. Any other place and the guy would be Mayor now and no one would remember it. In Fairfax, it becomes a "haunting."

Whatever.

***This is an old post (I posted it in the first week of August) but it bears repeating:

Hey all...
I just wanted to let everyone know not to go down to Bunnyman Bridge anymore. My friends and I went there last week and four fairfax co. cops showed up as we were leaving. We all barely escaped getting arrested or ticketed since they didn't actually catch us up on the railroad tracks. They did, however, search my car and find my digital camera with pictures of the tracks on it, but the cop said that since there were no pics of us actually on the tracks he couldn't do anything about it.

Anyway, you all have received fair warning...keep clear of the bridge unless you want to get arrested/ticketed! :)
