Thud sounds out near Herndon/Sterling today?

Anyone else hear a series of dull thuds this morning around like 8:00am - 8:30am in the Herndon/Sterling area? A few actually shook our house - could hear the china rattling in our dining room.

I'm assuming it may have been blasting or drilling nearby, but I figured I'd ask.

Been hearing it all morning. Great Falls near Loudoun line.

I heard it in North Reston too. At first I thought it was somebody nearby slamming their car door, but I looked outdoors and didn't see a thing. It was after 9 AM here, and it was still going on when I fell back asleep. I then figured it must've been some work going on in the neighborhood, but damn, you heard it all the way out there? My windows rattled hard enough a few times that I actually thought someone had slammed the front door of my house. I only knew it wasn't that, because the dogs weren't going ballistic.

We are in Chantilly and started hearing it last night. When we woke this morning, it started again.

Last night there was mucho jet noise noticeable from Sully Station - these were not the normal landing/takeoff jet noises from Dulles; someone is practicing.

They didn't sound like sonic booms to me, if that's what you're hinting at, but who knows? Good observation.
