Hey guys, I just moved to Fairfax and just got a hookup for some bud but I feel like I'm being overcharged, I'm paying $25 a Gram for dank. What do you guys normally pay for bud around here?

So let's see...an undercover officer says a house was a "location of interest" - no revelation of how it became such but IR-watching helicopters was mentioned as one possibility. The undercover officer then collects the trash from the house, finds pot evidence, gets warrant, searches house, busts occupant.
Perhaps another possibility is the occupant posted to a message board about pot growing?

The sweet deal there is so good for the source they can easily cut prices to rock bottom.
The director just loves them there. Gets them free room and board. Free wash n' fold laundry service. Free food. Hell. They have even gotten them cars, gas money, free repairs.

OP is correct, the average price of a gram of GOOD herb (Cali or Colorado) runs about 25/g 60/8th 110/quarter 220/half 400/zip.
This is due to the amount of trouble one risks getting it over here to the COMMONWEALTH of Northern VA. VA will be one of the LAST states to legalize, sad to say, so if one intends on using it profusely, one should move to colorado or Cali where it's easier to get proper "medical care" without harassment from the establishment.
Another tip- keep your stash below a half-ounce, anything above that is a FELONY possession in VA. Worth it to get a cheap scale (check amazon) to be sure, and only carry the amount you intend to consume that day in ONE SMELLPROOF bag (check amazon for that too). If you have it in multiple bags, they will try to get you for Distrubition and that is ANOTHER felony.
IT IS WORTH THE PRICE if you need "medicinal' grade for whatever ails you. It IS an excellent anti-inflammatory and appetite gainer-works great for cancer patients and such. Get a good indica if you have anxiety...all I will say about that, google for more info on the strains and their medical uses.
Now mexi-bush runs cheaper (like 15/40/90/160/350) but is more for the rookie smokers who don't need as high as a CBD count or for recreational use. That is actually harder to find out here since everyone wants to market their product as 'super strong cali strawberry cupcake kush' or what have you. Any dealer who won't show you the goods upfront so you can see/smell for yourself (or better yet, let you sample a bit WITH them) is not to be trusted. Mexi brick tends to be compressed, dark green, and seedy while medicinal grade should be fresh, fluffy buds with a bit of color to them sometimes (orange, purple, etc) on the hairs. google for pics and check for bud review sites so you have an idea before you make your purchase. the mexi- works in a pinch though, don't totally discount it!!!

Stop overpaying. 25 a gram is fucked up, even for "cali/colorado" shit. 20 a gram is the standard and will always be the standard no matter how hard dealers and law enforcement want to push the price up. By accepting 25 a gram, you are ripping everyone off because you are pushing the price point up for everyone, making it acceptable for people to even offer the price.
There's a reason this area prices are the highest in the nation, because of people who just "accept it." This post was made 4 years ago when someone offering that price would get punched in the face.
But what can I say, this area has money and people are willing to overpay.
Old Head, CBD has no effect on one's high. It's for those who need pain relief or prefer strains that don't induce paranoia. Strains that have more CBD tend to be weaker. Usually potent strains have about 1-2% CBD which is all you need for recreational. A CBD rich strain would have 10%-20% and won't get you that high because the THC strength tends to be lower but has strong medicinal purpose for cancer, anxiety and such.
Using CBD as justification to pay higher prices is ridiculous when it's unlikely to obtain CBD rich strains on the street unless you are growing it yourself, getting it from the dispensary or source direct from cali/colorado. Your "mexi-bush" prices are the prices people should be paying for the quality of herb you speak of. The prices you listed for good herb are reserved for special sought after strains, like Skywalker OG. You can justify paying 400 for an oz for those strains. Anything like Sour Diesel, Girl Scout Cookies, common potent strains should be those "mexi-bush prices."
It's all about sensibility. Just because a few luxury strains can have those prices justified doesn't mean THEY ALL DO.
Stop pushing prices up, prices should be dropping, there's a lot of smokers in this area. Please be smart, use common sense, don't fall for false sale pitches and don't overpay because you effect everyone when you do.
