The real concern in this area, is radon, especially if you have a basement, but it can affect any home. That crap will give you lung cancer quick. Get your houses checked out. When it decays, it leaves behind polonium 218 and 214 particles which you breathe in. There is a suspected link between radon and leukemia...and it's the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer after smoking. Kind of makes you wonder why people were clawing each other's eyes out to get that $800,000 1,500 sq foot home in Vienna right on top of decaying uranium deposits. Adds a new twist to "location, location, location!"
