The microwavable breaded chicken from Trader Joe's tastes better than the stuff they heat up at any restaurant. It has a nice buttery taste to it, and it melts in your mouth.

The best fried chicken is right in your own kitchen. Take one cut up
chicken and place in bowl, covering all pieces with flour. Place in
fridge for a couple of hours and this will make the flour stick to the
chicken much better. Cover with plastic wrap. Preheat skillet with enough
Crisco to come about halfway up the sides of the chicken pieces. The trick
is to barely simmer on LOW heat for about 45 minutes (or longer) on each side.
LOW and SLOW cooking makes the chicken very tender. If you want to make the
skin crispier turn up the heat for a few minutes before you take it out of
the skillet. Crisco (the kind in the big cans that's solid) has a much better
flavor than vegetable oil and seems to blend well with the skin.

+1, BA. Roy's has the best fried chicken known to man. I get the three-piece, with a biscuit and two orders of fries. I like the fries, too.

I'm going to go against the grain and say my favorite chicken is from the chinese carryout called "Yum's" in DC- or pretty much any carryout. Get 4 wings with fried rice and mumbo sauce (the sauce is key!) and wash it down with a cold 40 ounce beer of your choice (or grab a Rock Creek Strawberry or Peach Soda from the case while there if you don't drink) and you will be in HEAVEN :)

Oh ya, and it is always ready in 10 MINUTES. Now top that. ;)

I second that Chicken and Beer place..At first I was like WTF, "Chicken and Beer" ??

The wait staff is quite odd, but the beer is cold , and the Olive Oil fried chicken is so good.. They do the double sauced thing like the BonChon places too..

I have gone a couple times.
