I'll take Comcast over Cox Communications any day. At least with Comcast the interent is working 99% of the time and technicians show up on time.

Hang in there, folks. FIOS is coming. I got it at my house (phone, tv, internet). Everything about it rocks, except the fact that I have to deal with Verizon customer support. However, haven't had any problems in the months that I've had it.

On another note, why does everyone spell definitely "definately?" I see this everywhere. It's like they don't teach this word in America's school system.

Does anyone know if Cox is doing this shit too?

My brother is on his computer playing GuildWars or some stupid shit game ((no offense to those who like that game...)) all day, and neither of us know how much bandwidth that uses.
Anyways, our internet goes down too often and its really fucking annoying.

Anyone else have the same experience??

Comcast internet has been really reliable. Only down once in the past year. I think they send you a letter or phone call and do a warning first before they cut off the service.

if you read the contract when you sign up with Cox, they limit customers to downloading 40GB and i think uploading 30GB (maybe it was 20GB) per month. i dont recall (in recent memory) that Cox claimed it was "unlimited" on their commercials though perhaps it's on their website, i havent bothered with it. im sure i have exceeded this before and not been booted so it seems like it's one of those rules they only pull out when it's convenient (like the speed limit and the FCPD).

he isnt using that much bandwidth otherwise a lot of people would be getting cut off by ISPs.

call cox and complain everytime it goes down and perhaps they will upgrade the system wherever it's breaking. then again, it could just be your router, cable modem or just your OS (i assume it's windows).
