anyone know what kind of company, or any specific company, that can be contracted to hang Christmas lights on large, outdoor tree?

Depending how large the tree is, it could cost $100's if not $1000's to have a tree service company come hang lights on your outdoor tree. It really depends on whether or not they need to use a cherry picker get the lights hung. I looked into this once for a huge 25' tall Holly in my front yard. It was not worth the expense even though it would have looked gorgeous. If you are looking for an estimate, you might try Freedom Tree Service out of Manassas, VA. 703-753-4900. Not sure they will even do it but they are a fantastic tree service company that we use regularly.
