I heard a helicopter over my house and was wondering why they would be hovering.
In the past somebody was nice enough to post a website
that would enable you to listen in on police activity, but never got on the site.
I was not able to find it on search. Would anybody
post the website or is there another alternative?

you know nothing against you wspringfield but i am pretty sick and tired of ffx co residents complaing and wanting to know "why is the helicopter flying". THEY ARE ON A MISSION, they are doing their job. whether it is a medical mission or a law enforcement search and rescue mission.

the police really do not have time to tell all 1 million county residents each time the helicopter goes up on a flight. perhaps the county residents should be glad that the police are fairly pro-active and are very "aggressively reactive" meaning that once an event occurs they tend to use all resources that could be needed; detectives, k-9 bloodhounds, helicopter, crime scene units, and others.

Yeah, a job that us taxpayers are funding. The general public has the absolute right to know what the cops are doing. We can complain about whatever we want, we're the ones paying for it. These guys wouldn't even have jobs if it weren't for our tax dollars.

They are looking for persons engaging in homosexual sex, which is illegal in Virginia. You better hide!

@Meeper if you don't want to pay for it, then stop paying so many taxes.

I don't have a problem paying for it as long as they are front-and-center when I have an emergency and shut the fuck up about people complaining. They're getting paid to do a job just like everyone else.

There are a lot of government choppers around here too. There is a VIP helicopoter transport out of Belvior and the Marine Ones are based out of Quantico. You are very close to the capitol with a shitload of federal agencies and military centers, helicopters are to be expected.

Actually, on its way to Quantico. That would make more sense, given it is a Marine aircraft.

Actually I have no problem with them flying especially if its their job and they are making the streets safer or helping somebody out, but they were flying pretty low. Besides I was inquiring about the website so that I would not have to call FCPD.

I didn't say anything about not paying them all-together. But there are things you can do to reduce the amount of taxes that you pay.

If you install the scanner you can hear what's going on with the helicopter. I think it is called "Fairfax One."

Lately there has been a helicopter flying over my house. Is it because of the extraordinary amount of marijuana and other illegal drugs I have been trafficking in and out of Fairfax County? Fucking Fairfax County. I am paying to much damn taxes to have helicopters flying over my head. The never of these people. Id rather they fly under my feet.
