I don't like so many bars jumping on the Capitals bandwagon and the bar patrons who jump on same. I'd much rather watch a basketball or football game. In fact, I just can't sit still and watch a hockey game. One reason is I dislike the lazy fat fuck so much

I remember going to Caps games when Verizon Center was virtually empty. The games are much more fun now with an enthusiastic crowd behind the team. If you don't like the fans, watch it on TV.

You would rather go pay even more money to watch the Deadskins? Their owner is a prick who tried to sue an old lady for failing to pay her season ticket price last year. Leonsis is an actual fan friendly owner who can be seen walking around and actually talking to fans during the game. Ever see Snyder do that? No, and people swear allegiance to the Skins no matter how much they and their owner suck. At least Ted puts a quality team on the ice that actually wins games.

The Caps are the only winning pro team we have in the area. Of course we will have bandwagon fans. That's a good thing.

Same thing with sports. If a team sucks ass and doesn't seem to be able to get its shit together, why are fans expected to stick around?

America is, theoretically, a meritocracy. You are supposed to be judged on your merits. If a team can't earn my fucking respect by playing worth a shit, I shouldn't be expected to follow them or attend their games.

I for one have suffered the playoff ineptitude for over 20 years. I remember when Druce was on the loose and singlehandedly got us into the 3rd round for the first ever. At my house, you would have thought the Caps won it all that night. It's these bandwagon fans that scream "I CAN'T BELIEVE WE LOST". The long suffering fans know that a playoff collapse is almost assured.

I will continue to attend 2-3 Capital home games each season just like I have been doing since 1997 when the Verizon Center opened and attending games became more accessible without having to make a long drive into PG County.

Notihng against PG County by the way. It was just too damn far away for me.

You can say it, PG County is one of the worst places in the area.

Everytime I'm on the beltway in PG, there are brothers driving at 100 mph with no regard for human life. It's usually two cars weaving in and out of traffic and narrowly missing other cars on the road.

I guess the PG County cops can't or don't want to get a handel on this behavior. Maybe it would be racial profiling.

The only thing wrong with bandwagon fans is that they need to learn basic etiquette at the games -

I love it when the linesman puts his hand up for an offsides and the fan next to me screams "thats not a penaty, come on!" I agree, its nice to see the place packed, but when I was paying $40 a seat and sitting lowers 10 years ago when no one else wanted to watch, it sucks paying $140-190 for the same seat now. I know its a business, but what about all the fans that supported them when they sucked? shouldnt there be a loyalty discount :)
