In America, green means GO!

I was driving the other day, and I witnessed something that I had never seen before. I was behind a Acura Integra, which had a fart cannon exhaust, and a "for sale by owner" decal. It was on Arlington Blvd, and there was a left turn lane, two lanes going straight, and a right turn lane. He was going 30mph, and then he decided to go into the right turn lane. He sits there for a few seconds, and then he goes back into the straight only lane, and STOPS! He stopped at a green light! How much of an idiot can you be to stop at a green light? I was in the left turn lane at this point. I honked at the him, and pointed up at the green light. He stares at me like I'm doing something wrong, and then he turns right, in a no turn lane. WTF? How stupid are people around here?

It's called DUI. He should feel fortunate he wasn't trying to merge into the Mixing Bowl.

No I'd have to say some other drug like shrooms or acid, not DUI. If it was DUI he probably would of just stayed in whatever lane and cruised right thru whatever light green or red.

You've got to understand that in a lot of third-world countries, the traffic lights are continually malfunctioning. So a green light doesn't necessarily mean that it's safe to go, since the traffic light could be giving a green in two conflicting directions. (We solved this problem here with technology decades ago but in many 3rd world countries they have other priorities).

I'm sure this new arrival to our wonderful country was just excercising due caution.

One day about a year ago, I was sitting at a left turn red light on West Ox and Fair Lakes Parkway. The light turned green, and the moron woman in the front of the line just sat there. Didn't move. Light went to yellow, then red. Everyone was honking. She didn't budge. Then the next go around, she again sat there, until the light went to yellow and then she went. Her car and the car right behind her's were the only ones who got through. To this day I'm amazed by three things:

1) How did this F-ing moron get access to a car 2) How did she not hear everyone honking (deaf?) and 3) How did she escape being pulled from her car and beaten to death by an angry mob.
