Yeah, that was the "tag line" spoken at the very end of the commercial by the two little kids (Joon-Rhee's actual children), but the lines of the "theme song" or jingle were "When you take Joon-Rhee self defense, then you TOO can say.......... Nobody bodder me! Nobody bodder me!"

The Morton's ads, if I recall correctly, would spew out about 3 or 4 prices for things like Candy Graham states "$x.99", and then they would throw in one like "Leather jackets 20 BUCKS", using "bucks" to ghetto it down a notch or two.

I believe that was from Siantz and Kirk - whenever I'd be home from school those ambulance chaser law firm commercials permeated the TV in the early afternoon before cartoons would come on.

The Carvel commercials (Cookie Puss et al) were not local ads - those were national ads.

I think it was Uncle Charlie's (not Charlie's Place), "where we don't stop giving until you say uncle!" But they did have all the beer, wine and sangria you could drink (if I had been old enough to drink at the time).

And I loved the old Sea Galley commercials. Went to it once, around Baileys Crossroads, near Theismann's.

I moved from the DC area years ago but still remember all those car dealer ads, and the dealers' names (bob peck Chevrolet, templeton Olds, ted Britt ford, Bill page honda, etc). And I remember Harden and Weaver in the morning! That is all my parents listened to.

I also remember Thirsty Thursdays on either DC 101 or WAVA FM105 where they would give away a case of beer. How times have changed!

Anyone remember all the Morton's ads? They'd scream the name Morton's over and over and show ghetto kids in the latest 1970s apparel. They used to have a location on Penn. Ave., SE just as you got off the Sousa bridge into Anacostia. Not sure if it's still there but decades later those ads are still memorable.

The first All-Starr excursion led to the release of Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band (1990), a compilation of live performances from the tour.[153] In the same year, Starr recorded a version of the song "I Call Your Name" for a television special marking the 10th anniversary of John Lennon's death and the 50th anniversary of Lennon's birth. I had a roommate who went to the bartending school in Arlington in the 80's, he made a nice little network of girls for us he met thru the school. Nice memories.
