A few oddball answers. But, at least you didn't waste your vote on Connolly. For that, I commend you.

Lol, let's get that on the record.

Many of you have asked me for an update of the status of the election for Congress in the 11th. Here is what I know as of 11:30 AM Friday, November 5th:

1. Every count so far has confirmed the Gerry Connolly win. While no winner can legally be declared yet, we remain confident that our win will stand.

2. Right now, each locality in the 11th Congressional District is winding up a post-election canvass, including counting provisional ballots. The canvass is a legal process in which local officials literally reconstruct the results of the election one voting machine and one precinct at a time, to ensure that all votes validly cast in the election are counted fairly and accurately. Once the local canvass is finished, including provisional ballots, the local officials will send the election returns to Richmond for further review by state election officials, who will certify the official results of the election later this month.

3. The canvass is a public process, and our lawyers have been monitoring it since the minute it began.

4. The Republicans are making some unbelievable accusations in an attempt to overturn the election, including:

ï‚· In Fairfax County, claiming the voting machines failed to register votes from over 800 ballots, more than the margin of our win, including 106 in the Sideburn precinct alone. (Keith Fimian won that precinct 58% - 40%.) In Prince William County, they claim that the machines failed to register votes on more than 200 additional ballots.

ï‚· In several precincts, the Republicans claim that there were actually more votes than voters. That is, voting machines reported a higher number of votes than the number of voters marked on the pollbooks as having voted in the election. It's a dishonest strategy based on a false reading of the data.

ï‚· As of Election Day, there were over 1,150 absentee ballots that had been mailed out to military and other overseas voters were not received back in the 11th Congressional District. Republicans are trying to have these late ballots illegally included in the count.

ï‚· Republicans are also trying to count 280 illegal absentee ballots already rejected by election officials in Prince William County, and another 200-300 illegal absentee ballots that were rejected in Fairfax County.

So the process is unfolding as set forth in the law and these are some of the questions that are being considered at this time.

Our efforts to defend these attacks on the integrity of the election will cost a lot of money, and it is unfortunate that we are being forced to do so. We need your support today. Please give what you can.

You forgot to include ...

- Since Gerry Connolly was never for creating a policy to fight against the illegal aliens in Fairfax County, he considers those individuals "worthy" of counting as a vote towards him. Gerry is requesting for 35,000 votes to be added to his tally.

- Since Gerry Connolly has accepted over $18,000 from the Saudis, he also wants to include the votes of the Islamic Saudi Academy students (even though most are under the age of 18). Those votes should total somewhere in the range of 700 when you include the Alexandria campus and the Popes Head Road facility.

Yes, once the board of elections reviews those latest submissions by Gerry Connolly's campaign, he will be declared the winner and will be able to keep his 11th District Congressional seat. Those in the 11th District will be quite pleased as Gerry is known to be "Independent" and also a "Deficit Hawk". He has all the qualities of a GOP candidate. It's even rumored that these claims that Gerry has made during the final 2 months of his campaign has caught the attention of Representative Boehner. In January, under the new Congress, Boehner will approach Gerry Connolly and invite him to joing the GOP party.

Stay tuned ...

Rethug leaders will not cut defense spending
-FY 2009 defense budget, $513 billion
-FY 2010 defense budget request $534 billion, a $21 billion increase.
Rethug leaders WILL allow pork projects by the billions in budgets
Rethug leaders will demand tax cuts but not cut spending
Rethug leaders will NOT touch Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid
Rethug leaders will spend lots of time on investigations
Rethug leaders will spend time and money campaigning for 2012 but not for 2010 jobs

Same ol' same ol

Mandatory spending: $2.184 trillion (+15.6%) 2010
$677.95 billion (+4.9%) – Social Security
$453 billion (+6.6%) – Medicare
$290 billion (+12.0%) – Medicaid
$164 billion (+18.0%) – Interest on National Debt
Discretionary spending: $1.368 trillion (+13.1%)
$663.7 billion (+12.7%) – Department of Defense (including Overseas Contingency Operations)
$52.5 billion (+10.3%) – Department of Veterans Affairs

None of the above (where the money goes) will be cut.

You've been teabagged!

Great fiction writing, but there are literalists out there that might not get that you are being facetious. Maybe you can add a /sarcasm tag to your post or something?

Oh, by the way, he will be declared the winner, and not just by himself. :) So get used to posting more crap about him in the next two years. You make Republicans look loony cause you are.

Well, Illegals casting ballots is nothing new to be honest. I'm certain that they make-up a certain portion of the votes cast for Moron too (Who is conveniently pro amnesty, and who's main district is El Barrio).

I wonder if Gerry Connolly was released from the hospital this weekend? I can't imagine that it would take 4+ days just to remove his IV tube that was utilized so he could remain connected to Nancy Pelosi over the past 2 years. Hmm ...

3 Republicans say Bedell's accusations of irregularities have no substance

That's right. The 2 Republicans overseeing the counting in Fairfax have certified the results in the 109 Fairfax precincts that make up 2/3rds of the 11th CD. Connolly won Fairfax by 4553. And the Republican Party observer agrees.

Combining the Fairfax numbers with the Prince William results: Fimian lost by 968.

Hunt lost to Marsden by 397 in January: no recount.

Boglanaisse lost to Filler-Corn by 37 in March: no recount.

Time to concede, Keith.

Of course, the site you've provided a link to is going to show bias towards the Republican party. How about linking to a more "neutral" site? For example: RealClearPolitics. The RCP site has a pretty level playing field when it comes to politics, and it shows that the race between Connolly and Fimian is not yet finalized. It shows their race among the 9 races yet to be confirmed and is in the grey section.

As soon as RCP comments on Bedell's discredited allegations of "irregularities," feel free to post the link.

But that won't happen since they're just an aggregator and do little if any original reporting.

In fairness to Lowell Feld's Blue Virginia blog, he did confirm that illegal immigrants were brought into Fairfax County to vote.

My qustion is, How do they do that? Fairfax isn't exactly a third-world city like Detroit or Chicago. Aren't there procedures in place to prevent illegals, or any non-resident for that matter, from voting?

I spoke with an Elections attorney/ election board member the day after the election on Nov.2, 2010. This attorney told of a situation she witnessed in 2008. A person from North Carolina confided to the attorney that Obama bused in a large group of people from North Carolina to Reston for 6 weeks. They all used the same address in Virginia. They got driver's licenses, registered to vote, and voted in Reston. The attorney/election board member witnessed them voting on election day in Reston. I am relatively certain that Reston was not the only voting location that this took place in. One can surmise that those same people voted in North Carolina using absentee ballots. This is, of course, voter fraud.

I have no idea if voter fraud took place on Nov.2, 2010 in the race between Fimian/Connolly. I do know that fraud takes place and those who are dismissive of that fact are fools.

I was working the polls in 2008 in Ohio and there were volunteers that were working the polls who were using the up-to-the-minute lists they had to call up folks who hadn't voted. The only thing is, everyone else only had access to the list two times throughout the day which put those who could only see the list two times all day at a disadvantage. The women got in trouble, though I do not know what their punishment was. They were Obama supporters by the way.

Thanks for the Virginia Democratic Chairman update.

Gerry clearly won, and Fimian clearly lost.... and no amount of Republican BS is going to change that. It's just a matter of time!

99% of all voting fraud stories (Dem and Rep) are pure fantasy. Yes the 1% does happen, but usually has no effect on anything. People always love the idea that their hard work was subverted by some evil plot, not that they picked a loser. Kinda like how fans always believe the refs have some plot against their team or are biased. It is basic Human Behavior 101.

So you heard from someone, who was told this by someone else and now you are telling us all this to pass on to others. You, are a charlatan, an idiot and a dumb-ass if you entertain the thought that this is true somehow. Liek a lawyer wouldn't lie or something.

It is obvious your comprehension skills are lacking. Too bad for you.

I spoke to the attorney who witnessed it. End of story. I care not one wit whether you believe it or not.
