NOVA teacher gives 50k against CA pot legalization campaign

So I was browsing the LA Times and noticed the only sizable contribution against prop 19 from out of state was from VA. How odd

Where does a NOVA teacher get 50k to donate to a state cause 3000 miles away??

What does a rundown piece of shit new-construction
600 thousand dollar house have anything to do with
this nice lady and her kicking 50 thousand out of her
ass like it is some valiant deed that will be validated
greater the higher the contribution value is inflated.
Did she take out a second mortgage on her house or something?
I wonder if she is a boozer that drives drunk?

Wow, $50,000 is a lot of money to give for a proposition that doesn't effect your own state. Heck, 50K is a lot to give, especially at such a late date (Oct. 23rd).

When the largest state in the country does ANYTHING, believe me, it affects the rest of us. Cultural changes have huge impacts across the country.

I agree, Kardinal, but placing a $50,000 bet against it, knowing that you will never see a single cent of that money ever again? No possibility of a return on that investment. Wouldn't it make more sense to move there and vote against it yourself?

Its not like she has three months of the year off. If you have $50K to blow on this, it makes sense to just move there and vote on on it firsthand instead of sitting on the sidelines and contributing money to a cause that will nto affect you directly for years or even decades. Heck, in her own back yard, the doro for medical marijuana use is opening and she didn't give a dime against that effort.

This seems fishy to me. I wonder what her connection is to this issue.

Seems stupid, but then again, she's spending her money on a lost cause.

it’s a conspiracy to keep K2 on the market…

Its too bad we will never know why she did this, because it is suspicious.

It does seem stupid. All polls disagree with you, however, and indicate Prop 19 is going down in flames.

What a fucking huge waste of money. You'd think that as an educator she'd realize that $50,000 could build at least 3 or 4 schools in more than a few third world countries which would do a whole lot more to make the world a better place.

First link has incoherent sentences.

Second link is blending two different polls together and not
coming up with signifigant data to support your claim.

Crap surveys will be published like this in an attempt to
sway voters and are most likely supported by the Liberal Media financially.
[of course the first link is because NBC IS the Liberal Media. Ha!

If she's a teacher with $50k to waste, why not give it towards education? There are too many schools in this country that could put $50k to good use because they get very little from tax payers.

I guess it's because if you have money to waste, you waste it the way you want to waste it.

I don't get why everybody thinks all teachers are poor. Sometimes they have spouses that make big bucks or received large inheritances etc.

Hell, I know a bus driver that lives in a 3 million dollar house (it's in her and her husband's name, I checked). I guess she drives a bus because she likes it. I don't think her pay would cover the taxes on her house.

Your post is so full of holes it's not worth pointing them out.

Very simply, they were right. Prop 19 went down in flames.
