Connolly Supports Give Out Crappy Candy

So, I took the kids trick or treating last night and I noticed a correlation between the candy given and the political yard sign in the front yard. It was in a fairly affluent neighborhood, so everyone's socio-economic status is pretty high.
If the person had a Connolly sign, my kids were likely to get this (and just one):
If the person had a Fimian sign, my kids got this:
What gives? Why are Connolly supporters stingy with the candy?

When I went to a home with a Connolly sign the guy took half of my candy and gave it to the kid behind me.
