Saturday afternoon in Sterling

I'm not from Fairfax, but close enough. This is an interesting site. It's kind of strange to find anything, anywhere, focused on the local Northern VA area. I've lived here all my life, and it's always just been like a void...I think we pioneered the current homogenized American suburb-scape, where any town in the country looks pretty much identical to another--gas stations, strip malls, convenience stores, town houses...

Anyway, nice job. I'd dare say, you guys are actually doing a service to your community...not too many people, anywhere, can say that about themselves anymore.

Depends where you go. Sterling has a definite hispanic flavour. Downtown FX you can find places that are unique like Record and Tape exchange or Yesterdays Rose Thriftstore or FX circle Korean flavour. I will agree if you go to Tysons 1 or Fair oaks mall or Dulles Towne Centre you see the exact SAME stores in all three places. Vic Secret/A&E/Abercrombie/Hot Topic etc etc.

and it's also a sign of the new homogenized America that assholes are everywhere you go. Seriously, what the fuck is your problem? Why is every message board in all of internet-dom a minefield of little-brained assholes who think it's their mandate as a user of the world wide web to belittle people just for...well, I don't even know why. Go fuck your mother. See...it's contagious.

Hiya K, don't mind the assholes ^ Welcome to FU. I don't run the joint, but I'd say Loudoun is close enough too.

Say, have you gotten a ticket lately? We LOVE to bitch about cops here!

Loudoun doesn't have County cops...Sheriff's deputies, right? Are they as bad as our FFX po-po?

Yes, welcome to the website.

We are a community of people who break laws and refuse to accept responsibility for any of our own actions. Instead, we blame the police and government for enforcing the law, basically doing what they are supposed to do, while we were caught doing what we are not supposed to be doing.

We charish defense attorneys on this site. Basically, the slimier and less honest the attorney, the better. Many of us run afoul of the law so frequently we actually have our attorney's home phone number on speed dial.

Many of us don't believe laws apply to us, instead we always look for ways around following laws, which, ironically, is often more difficult than following the law in the first place.

Most of us break the laws so frequently we kind of become a quasi-expert on the subject due to our many court appearances, thus the continual posting of topics from one law-breaker looking to get out of a charge to other scofflaws more experienced in the art.

Many of us also still live in our parent's basement and don't have much in terms of an actual "job" unless you count waiting tables or retail as a career.

If any or all of the qualifications I have just listed would be used to describe you, then please join our community!

Off now to complete and attempt to publish my manifesto as to why laws, societies values and mores and those who enforce them are such a terrible thing!

Regards,

Typical Poster
